Beautiful pics! Did you use hot water or anything to loosen the hips up?

Hair dryer, which I keep handy for any shoot these days. It helped a little. Guessing it's super tight for stability.

It looks pretty awesome. I'm retiring to the sidelines with 1/4 scale. I liked that the double jointed ones could drop to one knee and fit in a detolf but they've began to sag under their own weight. The thigh swivels are spreading and they're looking at the ceiling now.
Some of the new 7" variants really jumped out at me as representations of the source material too. |

Speaking of the 7" scale figures, Randy said that Big Chap from series 2 will be getting the window box re-release treatment like the Terminator endoskeleton and Robocop. This is pretty cool for those who missed out on series 2 Big Chap and would still like a movie-accurate figure.

Great shots! Big Chap may not be the definitive Giger design, but he's screen accurate in the context of the original movie, and that's what I wanted when I went after him in the secondary market.
Wish I'd waited. Then again, the joints in my figure are quite loose, and there might be improvements, so maybe it's time for a refresh. It would be nice to get him boxed. Last edited by Skoob; 01-11-2016 at 02:11 PM.. |
