[Insert "Holy ____, Batman!" joke here]
Really curious about the details for this line. Hopefully, we'll get more info in the next few months. I'd really like to see 3.75" figures, but since this is Mattel I'll be fine with 6" figures. I just hope it's not going to get wrapped up in one of their subscriptions.

Depending on size and how they look, I could see myself buying a few of these. Especially if they are going full out with the likenesses. Would love a Burgess Meredith Penguin as well as the Caesar Romero Joker.

I would definitely be interested in these if they're 3 3/4-inch!

Julie Newmar Catwoman is high on my wish list too. A Vincent Price Egghead would be cool as well. I wonder if they'll be done in the classic format. Trying to picture how that would translate.

Mattel, I will love you if there's 3.75 figures. I don't care how much articulation there is. I just want them so bad.
Especially an Eartha Kitt Catwoman. Me-OW!

I'm glad to see info slowly trickle out for this. I can't wait for these figs.
The red Bat-phone rang during the Mattel/DC panel at SDCC this year and the line was announced. A photo of the Adam West figure was shown for about a second. They said the line would be Movie Master style/size and be available at retail. That's all the info they were able to give. Mattel has to apparently wait to share more as Warner has big plans for the brand and will supposedly make some sort of huge announcement. |

Hopefully DCUC. I'd love to add Penguin to my setup.

I can't see how this WON'T be subscription. I guess they could put it in Batman Unlimited if they want. But how well is this going to do at retail? How relevant to today's society is a 50-year-old TV show? I would think this would fit an even smaller niche market that DCUC did, and that had to go subscription.

The style that this is being made after is very non DCUC. More Comic(Funny) not serious. I would have no place for these guys as they would look real out of place in my collection.

I'm not sure I see your reasoning. Wave 16 Riddler is basically Frank Gorshin. The Wave 1 Penguin mold would easily resemble Burgess Merideth too with a black/purple paint job. The Batman Legacy Batman that came with Bat-Mite is close to Adam West, but would need a different belt buckle & cape. A Burt Ward Robin wouldn't need any changes from Wave 16 Robin, save for a slightly retooled hairstyle.
Like it or not, a lot of the modern Batman mythos stems from the 1960's teevee vein, just as the teevee show reproduces costumes & the look of the Golden Age. Each just moves the franchise forward for a contemporary audience. I'm gonna wait at least until we know what scale the figures will be and hopefully see a pic before I write these off. I would love an Alan Napier Alfred. I would definitely buy a Caesar Romero Joker figure, even if it was bad. |

Oh forgot about Alfred. I'd definitely buy one if it's in scale with DCUC.

But based on what Edge2K posted above, the line will be Movie Masters-style. So it looks like they will be faithful to the show and the actor likenesses. I personally hope this is the case, per my wish list earlier in the thread. Btw, just want to point out that there have been several "comedic" figures released in DCUC. Most people call them the Super Friends. Quote:

I hope they will be MM style because that just means Penguin (and maybe Alfred???) should fit in my collection just fine. I'll probably get an Adam We Bats and a Joker too though but they'll stay in package.
