Hmm.
I wonder if the other site was tipped off by my post of these pictures in the Thor The Mighty Avenger thread a few hours ago this afternoon?? They posted it about 2 hours after my post here. |

I wish these "Frost Giants" did something for me. I keep picking them up of the pegs and putting them back. can't wait for the Gigantic Battles version though!

Flash fact: There is a mountain range in Norway called Jotunheimen after the realm of the giants. Which was separated from Midgard by mountains. |

These look good.. minus the gay accessories... but the scale is whack.. they should be like 6-7'' to fit in scale with the 3 3/4'' thor/loki etc... if they release a 6'' or 8'' version I'd just on them to fit the scale rather then the small guys. Somewhat of an avatar rip off.

Yeah, I agree. Scale wise I see them fitting into my collection as more of a "frost troll" while the gigantic battles will provide the actuall "frost giant". They are pretty cool as "frost trolls" though. Nice smaller minions for Loki. I picked up a few of the ones that are out now and will probably pick up Laufey and a Claw as well.

Just not feeling these guys as giants, just really tall blue guys. Perhaps if they had been figures from a 6" line they would work well as giants for the 4" figures.
Maybe it's just too many comic books, cartoons, and D&D that makes me expect something really huge when it's called a giant. |

The Ice Attack and Invasion FG's are out now. Not sure about a specific date, but I believe that King Laufey and Ice Claw are wave 2, so probably sometime soon.

ZeoVGM not sure why u question my age? as my post was even validated by neatogecko, If you must know I'm 23. I just find these toys to be out of scale.. atleast with MU your average big guy aka hulk, colossus, juggernaut are taller then the rest... I just feel they should of been 6'' scale or taller to truely be considered giants. and the frozen accessories aka bugger blasters are stupid looking.. would prefer them have a nice wooden staff, or knives etc..

EDIT: I just watch the trailer again and I would like to say two things. 1) The frost giants do appear to be quite a bit larger. 6" scale would be great. 2) This movie looks like it's going to be really good. Last edited by ludovicotek; 03-07-2011 at 06:53 PM.. |

I meant no disrespect to the gay/lesbian community. just frustrated with genaricly mass produced crappy accessories, It's like selling a 60,000 Mercedes Benz with pancakes for mirrors or a spoiler made of jelly beans... sure someone may like them but they're useless.. I like accessories to be weapons, clothing, masks, guns, knives, bases, additional figures or animals.. rather then some tacky looking blaster/missle launcher.. like why does Thor need a missle launcher? I can understand Iron man having them but not cap/thor

i agree with some of your opinion about why they dont come as big and tall figure, since word GIANT its means they have to bigger from the normal size, thats too bad if we found frost giant but the size all the same with the others...at least they cant make 6 or 8 inch for this frost giant all, so we can collect and make it as frost giant army. because of this, i also dont collect the frost giant. only collect odin, thor (later with his helmet in wave 2), loki, 3 warior, lady sif and destroyer..

I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger fuss over the lack of figure stands with these figures...
