Big Year for Marvel/Hasbro with the continuation of the main line plus Thor and Cap.
So October on to December 31...what are we looking at? Looks like Wave 15 is ALMOST readily available nationwide. Wave 16 growing on eBay, one retail sighting...should be a month before that starts showing regularly. Wave 17 (Psylocke, White Iron Fist, Patriot, etc.) probably hits Thanksgiving/ early December. The comic packs have been silent since Cap Brit/ Spidey and PM/IF. So we're looking for: WM/ Quicksilver, Thanos/ Adam W, Mr. Sinister/ Gambit, Bullseye/ DD, Colossus/ Juggy, and Moon Knight/ AntMan. (With the amount of these and the 2-at-a-time release, I'm guessing these crossover into '12. We have the repaint Sentinel and the NYCC Compound Hulk. Am I missing anything here? That Mexican box set? Oh and the Avengers light up TRU exclusives.

Well, there are some revision waves coming as well with some older characters to fill in the spaces. The current revision waves sold through remarkably fast here, which may be why the follow up waves hit the shelves so soon. The comic packs are selling slower than the single figures so I'm not sure that many of those will hit before 2012.

You missed 14 different versions of Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Spiderman. Did I miss any?

I'm guessing the last comic pack release will be the Wonder Man/Quicksilver and Daredevil/Bullseye wave in October. Maybe if we are lucky we might see Adam Warlock/Thanos and one of the other ones in December. I also think the "Mexico" pack will start to show up in the states in October/November.
One thing to hope for is that it is highly likely that the first 2012 wave will actually start to show up in December 2011. This has happened the last two years and has been a nice late December surprise to find at retail.

Mexican box set? A joke?
Quote:
I also cant wait for that set- Two of my favorite Avengers to fill the ranks! Add She Hulk and Scarlett Witch next year and all we'll have 75% of the team (we still badly need Quasar, Mantis, Black Knight, Photon, Starfox and Jarvis though!) |

Yep, I had posted a similar comment earlier and a couple of people had the same thought. This will be repacked often with all the accessories removed.

I think the Thor and Captain America lines are just about done, like what we saw at SDCC is all we're getting imho.
We didn't really need a Thor comic line because some of the guys we wanted, like Beta Ray Bill, are going to be in the Marvel Universe line. Marvel Universe keeps upping the ante and getting better each year. Look at what we got now compared to 08.

Who the hell needs any more Guardians? They litter the pegs of every store I visit. Plus, the character has never changed in the comics, as far as I know. What else could they do to him to make me buy another one? |

I definitely need a Guardian since I made the mistake of passing on him the first time around.
For some reason, I think you might be confusing Guardian with Gladiator. |
