I've been looking forward to this figure. It looks kinda odd to me, though. We'll see I guess

Is this a halloween costume? Is he trick or treating? Definitely not a fan, especially of the mask.

Hopefully his character will be enough to override that and make me want the toy. |

Looks like a good figure to me, so I hope little is changed for the production version. I actually like his design for the new show. What I don't like is the vibe I got from the promo they released for him back when they announced his VA.
I'm hoping he was just miss-represented in the promo, but he came across as a young kid attempting to act tough and sort of punk-ish, and absolutely failing. Almost as though his family was normal, and his behavior was him trying to rebel against them for being so ordinary. Rather than him growing up in a bad neighborhood, dealing with serious family issues, gaining street smarts, and being toughened up through those experiences.

I like it. It could have been much worse - I'm glad they used a mask instead of the facepaint I've seen in some promo images for the show. At least you can pretend there isn't a teenage version of Casey under the mask.
What the heck is on his left hand though? It's obviously something pieced together as some kind of weapon or something... can't tell what any of it is, though. I am glad to see that he at least includes a bat and a hockey stick. Let's hope for a golf club and cricket paddle too! That would be nice. |

From what I've been able to tell in renders and such, it looks like I pushed some nails or something through the padding on a hockey goalie's armguard. |

Huh... I have mixed feelings about that figure, but then, I also have mixed feelings about the way that Casey is portrayed in the new TMNT series as well. Maybe he'll grow on me. Now that I really think about it, I've never really cared for the character in any iteration of the TMNT franchise, so I'm probably the last person who should be offering a critique of Casey :P

Actually, after thinking about it, I think that I may eventually come to like, or at least tolerate, Casey in the new series. Frankly, he's a white trash kid with a lot of (lol, forgive me for using this term) swag ! As a kid, I would have LOVED that character, or at least would have had a greater appreciation of him than I did of the hot-tempered vigilante thug of previous incarnations. I hope that the upcoming episodes focus on him a little more, especially since he has been absent from the series so far. I'm curious to see if I still have a positive opinion of the new interpretation a few weeks from now.
Still not sure about this figure though |

Having watched his premier episode, I can safely say that it's gonna take a lot of work to get me to like this Casey. If I ever do.

I don't mind the re-design. His look kinda reminds me of a character from Zeke and Luther. Haven't seen his episode yet, so I won't comment on his bio just yet.
Considering he's not the one you remember, I guess that's a good thing...?

Looking at it further based on the figure, since he hasn't don his costume on the show yet, it's growing on me, but I really dislike the mask. I'm hoping, figure-wise, he shows up in the Classics collection.

Not a fan of the character in the new cartoon. The look, the voice, his attitude. It's all irritating to me, lol. Will get the figure to complete the set but that is about it...
