Diamond Select Toys has been releasing Knight Rider merch for a bit now, and at the top of that list are the KITT 1/15th scale vehicles. These replicas of the original cars include KITT, KARR, and KITT Super Pursuit Mode – which we will take a look at today. A little background on the 1/15th KITT SPM from DST’s website:

Most of what you need to know about SPM KITT is in pictures. He is a well crafted sturdy offering for Knight Rider aficionados with a fair amount of lights and sounds tossed in as a bonus. Sounds include voice overs from KITT (original voice actor or very close) and sound effects, both are dead on. Additional points include: a high gloss wax job on the black paint, has some serious weight to it, rubber wheels, a choice of 4 license plate stickers, and additional internal control panel stickers. The SPM mode details are non-retractable, so what you see here is permanent. For non SPM – you’ll have to grab the 1/15th scale original KITT. Gotcha! I’ll probably be going back to get the classic non-SPM version now that I’ve interacted with this one. Holding it in your hands and messing with the lights and sounds I think seals the deal.
As a casual but eager Knight Rider fan I was happy to get a hold of this guy, it’s a definite improvement over my 80s Knight Rider 2000 Voice Car. 80’s Michael can’t quite fit into the new KITTs from DST, so I officially request 1/15th scale Michael Knight figures. In every outfit he ever wore in the show. In a box set.
