Aliens Minimates Series 1 - Toyark Photo Shoot - The Toyark

The first assortment of Aliens Minimates 2-Packs are in stores now. These follow the previously released single boxed counter display figures. While the counter display was heavy on the Alien Warriors, these new 2-packs feature a great mix of characters and Aliens. The assortment contains:

Wounded Corporal Hicks with Ellen Ripley
Private Drake with Battle-Damaged Attacking Alien
Sergeant Apone with Alien Warrior
Corporal Dietrich with Infected Colonist

Overall
I was already fan of the look of the single boxed Aliens Minimates. I thought the Aliens themselves turned out really well. This assortment reinforces my thoughts on this line. The Aliens themselves are still top notch. But it’s the inclusion of figures like Ripley, Hicks and Apone are extremely welcome. Each comes with plenty of guns and other interchangeable pieces like heads, hats, and more.

The surprising star of the wave may be the Infected Colonist. The figure includes a removable chestburster effect and a Facehugger. You can place those on any of the figures, which is a nice touch. If you invested in any of the single box releases, then these go really well with them. The photo shoot below includes the Aliens and Marines from the counter display for the battle setup pics.

I’ve got no complaints about this lineup. We’re going to be getting more releases eventually, which will add more Alien variants, more characters and more weapons to the mix. Recommended highly for fans of Aliens and Minimates.
