The wonderfully odd Alien Egg Carton Set by NECA is now available in stores. With tongue firmly planted in cheek, we get a traditional half dozen egg carton filled with Alien Eggs and Facehugers. You get three sealed eggs, three hatched eggs and three Facehuggers in total. Alien Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release, as it’s a great way to build a huge Alien Egg display for your Alien Queen or for your Kane figure.

Overall
What a really fun release this turned out to be. We got a small taste of these with the Queen Attack Bishop figure. That release included a hatched Alien Egg and Facehugger. The ones included here look pretty much identical to that, so they all work great together. While it’s nice to have more Eggs and Facehuggers, the packaging is the real star here. NECA took a huge leap by adding some humor to the release. Honestly, I think it paid off really well. The carton is completely authentic to an actual egg carton. The included, peel away, label has some nice touches as well. The nutritional info and warnings about consumption should bring a nice smile to the face of fans.
The actual eggs and Facehuggers are spot on. The paint is fantastic all around. The eggs have some nice splashes of green, blue and pink. There’s a dark wash over both the eggs and the Facehuggers to bring out the sculpted details. And those sculpted details are equally impressive. The Facehuggers turned out especially creepy with even the fingernails sculpted unto the legs.
Fans of NECA’s Aliens line should scoop these up immediately. They’re a great expansion of the line, and a truly unique presentation puts it over the top.
