K-2SO is next in our looks at Rogue One Black Series Wave 1 figures. K-2SO (not K-250) is an Imperial security droid that’s been re-purposed for use by the Rebel Alliance. He stands tall over humans at 7 feet +. He may look simple and plain at first, but this figure packs some awesome engineering and subtle details that make it shine. Overall
As a figure, I was really blown away with K-2SO. He seems thin and gangly at first sight, but there is a ton of articulation in here. All the key points are there – neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, abs, hips, knees, ankles – all with swivels and rockers and ball joints where needed for a full range. All without sacrificing his look from the movie. Impressive. Most impressive. On top of that, he just looks cool. Tall and menacing, great paint layering to break up the black, including stroked orange highlights. Bottom line, great figure, he’s in the rotation before the movie even drops and I know if I care about the character or not.
