We've had DC 4'', we still have Marvel 4'', and other lines have varied, so the question I've been wondering is:
What intellectual properties would you like to see done in 4'' scale? Comic, toon, tv show, video game, or movie, anything that wouldn't directly get covered by being mainline DC Universe or Marvel Universe, what would you like to see made? This is for 3.75''-4'' figures, if you'd like a 6'' thread to discuss those, please go ahead and make one. Example: I'd absolutely love to see X-O Manowar (both versions!) made, as well as the Kaboom characters from Awesome Comics Kaboom series. And definitely at the top of my personal list is Kevin Lau's Vampi with her tonfa swords. |

I'd love 4 inch figures from Metal Gear Solid, Berserk, Predator, Spawn, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
But most of all a G.I. Joe style Resident Evil line of figures is something I've wanted since I was a kid playing RE1 back on the Playstation. Don't get me wrong the Toybiz figures were great at the time but I always thought there could be something better. |

I'd like decent 4" Mortal Kombat figures, but also He-Man, Skeletor and a M. Bison.

I'd kill for 4" figures of all the bond actors and the villains. I'd also love to see blondie, tuco and angel eyes from the good, the bad and the ugly.

Some from the 2012 Dredd movie. Judge Dredd and Anderson at the very least. Give them their lawgivers, an alternate helmeted head for Anderson, maybe the lawmaster with Dredd in a deluxe pack.
Some of the other judges and Mama would be cool too. The other judges could all use the same base molds, just different name tags. Last edited by A Friend; 09-10-2016 at 02:00 PM.. |

DCEU figures in the style of the cancelled DC Multiverse line, Elder Scrolls figures, and Fallout figures.

Actually, yeah, I'd love a Pierce Brosnan to go with my Nintendo figures since Goldeneye was such an iconic game.

Loving these ideas! Keep them coming!
That Resident Evil one, that'd be epic. I gotta agree. Capcom should look into that. Besides Kevin Lau's Vampi, the only other figure I want nearly as bad as her in 4'' is powered up Sari from Transformers Animated. How she's not had a club exclusive figure or Convention exclusive like Marissa Fairborne & Old Snake did is beyond me. Last edited by Snowflakian; 09-10-2016 at 03:25 PM.. |

I've always wanted Resident Evil figures in this scale, too. Luckily, it looks like the upcoming Zombie Lab figure line could be a nice placebo. It's got survivors, zombies, and even multi-armed,proboscis-mouthed mutants!!

Masters of the Universe, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K, C.O.Ps vs crooks, the Expendables, classic Thundercats, Army of Two. I am sure there are more just can not think of them at the moment.

Kind of surprised that Capcom hasn't gone to hasbro to do this. Considering how much it'd boost both, their previous work together on GI Joe Street Fighter, and even how amazing a GI Joe game itself could be using the RE5&6 engine, it almost feels like a no brainer that they'd both profit massively off of. If I'm not mistaken according to NECA Capcom is kind of difficult to work with or something. Pretty sure that's why they dropped the license.
Anyway here's what I've managed to make so far but I'd toss them in a heartbeat if official figures were ever made. I had everything lined up for an RE4 Leon but I couldn't find a proper head with that damn haircut of his. |

I know for sure NECA said Konami is very hard to work with, Konami killed that Castlevania figure mid-production because they were being picky. It wouldn't surprise me if Capcom was also difficult about working with American companies.

That wouldn't surprise me. But castlevania is one of their babies as much as Metal Gear is/was. Since it was one of their flagship properties at the start. |

Thanks. I doubt I'd actually get rid of them though because I put a lot of work in to that RE5 Chris. At yet look where the series is now. I haven't heard about anything Castlevania related since Lords of Shadow 2. |

This has nothing to do with the 4" theme of this thread, I was just bringing up how difficult some of these Japanese companies can be to deal with.

Back at Toy Fair this year NECA showed a Simon Belmont figure from the first game, it was done up like one of their standard retro game figures with the pixelated paint scheme. Then Konami changed their mind and had the item cancelled because apparently it was too detailed or something, from the sounds of things they were expecting NECA to make a stack of cubes resembling the sprite and not a detailed sculpt featuring the sprite's colors.
No worries. It relates. The whole point of this thread is to discuss what you want to see, and the potential complications of those various things is a welcome and informative sub-topic that's part of it. |

Hopefully we'll get another entry in the series soon. With MGS trying new directions, it wouldn't be surprising if Castlevania decided to take another go at a 3D world title. Part of their hesitancy it seems is because of the poor reception of the N64 titles. But personally, I thought Legacy of Darkness was fun. Outside of the portable 2D sidescroller/SOTN style, it seems like they haven't been sure how to go with the titles that the fans will accept and have been testing all sorts of genre types with it to figure out how they want to really bring the franchise back at some point.

Zombies! Vikings, Cowboys and Indians, Medieval theme, decent Police set with loads of variety, Space suits, and a highly articulated "regular citizens" line for filler for dioramas and shelf scenes.

Like how the Breaking Bad and blood spatter Dexter created an uproar not too long ago. NECA may have narrowly missed those complaints or may have had their own from the Succubus, granted a vampire series tends to get a little more leeway as they are more heavily popular fiction as opposed to the heavily reality nature of meth labs and a blood drenched serial killer. Kind of like how horror movie figures tend to get a pass because they are direct horror genre icons. At least they did manage to get the non-8-bit version of Simon out to market in that SOTN assortment. They also may have been thinking it was supposed to be closer to the Pixel Simon Mini-figure. *shrug* No clue. Though after seeing those and this, now I kind of want a Dracula X/SOTN 4'' series of Alucard, Maria, and Richter. Maybe we'll get lucky if the movie gets off the ground again. I could see them doing a moderate throwback period action movie with some RE style action visuals while Konami themselves kind of go an Underworld almost post-apocalyptic future type 3rd person action metroidvania style sandbox city/world game. Movie of the past, while they do a heavily cinematic game similar to a mix of the new Tomb Raiders, Uncharted, and GTA 5, about the future or not so distant future to keep prequels/sequels open depending on reception. Not sure. I recently sat through the Black Butler live action movie, so I've kind of got that style mixed with Underworld's in my head for what I think a 3D modern day/future based 3D Castlevania could do. Something new but also deeply rooted in the soul of what made Castlevania games fun with exploration and the action dynamics with also some random cinematic visuals like even the 3D Ninja Gaidens did. This new gen's upgrades should have the processing power to do it in open world environments instead of forcing linear gameplay. At least if the new Zelda is any indication as well as Metal Gear Rising. Which speaking of! That's another I want a 4'' line of. Raiden in 4'' would be epic to have, as well as Grey Fox. It may have had to do with sales of the SOTN figures. I don't know how well those sold overall to say. Though the aftermarket on them is through the roof. And they could have had some other concerns about reactions to the color scheme because of other issues of customer confusion from the appearance. Not sure what the reactions to the Succubus figure itself was either.
