Ugh. The face is kind of meh, but I can deal with it. What really ruins it are the legs. It looks like they just took the bottom half a GI Joe Sgt. Slaughter figure and used that. I'm not sure if he wore green camouflage pants and army boots in the movie(he probably did. I just never noticed), but they just look bad and doesn't fit with the rest of the figure.

I like this figure above the waist , er i probably add a skirt or something to it like in the comics to make it like a huge robe thingy Things i'd change is the hands should be more articulate so you can pose them into a hand blast shape |

I never got that other Mandarin legends figure that came out a while ago, but I don't think I'd use this as a stand in. It doesn't look comic-y enough for me. But to each his own.

More importantly is that there is another wave coming out. The figure looks about right as far as the movie goes, but doesn't really give me a "Mandarin" vibe.
My guess is that at least 1 other figure in the wave will be a repaint of Mk 42. At least it's a nice mold. |

i think this one is more articulation than the comic one unforgettably thought of getting it but lack or articulation is annoying , although good for display never the less

People posting spoilers this close to a movie release should have their typing fingers broken. Some people just want to attempt to ruin things for others. It's sad.

People going into a thread about the Mandarin without the thought of it blowing up with spoilers 4 days after the movie came out should have their internet revoked!

A thread about an action figure should be assumed to include spoilers for a movie? That's laughable. If people want to post spoilers there are plenty of places and thread for that but at the very least a bold spoiler warning and a few line spaces would be enough courtesy for most people. Just saying some people might have their movie experience dulled through no fault of their own.

People should calm down and stop being snarky with one another. It's a thread about a toy. It's not unreasonable to assume that there would not be any spoilers or that posters would at least use warnings or spoiler tags.
You can tell me all about a toy based on a movie without telling me anything about the movie itself.

I'd be down for another collect and connect series if they did Fin Fang Foom!!! Mandarin, would make sense.... Give us an unmasked tony/war machine, pepper potts, black widow, some of the other cool concept armours, maybe a hammer drone or 2, or army builder type figure.
As per part of the debate earlier, MU gets figures ML collectors would love to have, and vise versa all the time. Hasbro has the molds and they can resize figures anytime they want, and to me if a figure is awesome, it can be made in multiple sizes to fit multiple collector markets. Also someone said there's no Movie red skull for ML, which is true but they did make a MS version which looks awesome, and isn't too out of scale, especially if you distance the figure from others. |
