I know this question will definitely have some 'well, it depends on what you have' answers, but I'm just wondering, with the new figures being released and aimed at collectors, are the original He Man toys worth much?
I'm much more familiar with the prices of the 80's GI Joes... is He-Man about in the same ball park? |

Well, yes and no. Each figure has it's own value based on it's completion and it's condition. If ever I want to know the value of something, I check out completed auctions on ebay and search for what I have and get an average of how much they're going for. You can also check out MOTU boards to ask around there.

From what I see on ebay, most of what consistently commands good prices are
later figures like Scare Glow, Ninjor, Sorceress and so on (I think they are from 87) will command higher prices than most in the previous years. Original run of year one figures MOC - I think there is a a certain number of character pictures on the back of the card, maybe 8? Enhanced figures that came out in smaller runs like Dragon Blaster Skeletor, Flying fists he man Army builders like Horde Troopers Figure and animal 2-packs like Skeletor with Panthor Eternia playset just based on its sheer size and awesomeness Some of the foreign pieces like Titus will go for big money too Averagely though I don't see stuff like Two bad, Clawful, Cyclone etc go for a lot of money. As always though it's what its worth to YOU that counts if you are the one purchasing it. Oh and there was a mail away wonder bread he man that does well for price too |

Scareglow, Rio Blast, and Clamp Champ seem to be pretty pricey.
