Best thing they could have done was go with an unknown.

Agreed. An unknown really is the best instead of going with someone who is known for other roles. I'm very glad Triple H wasn't picked.

I was kind of hoping triple H got the role. I could really see him doing it (well is awhole another story) but I could see him in the role.

Maybe we'll get John cena as captain america ( just as long as it's not will smith like I've heard)

Wrestler should just be avoided for top billing. The Rock is really the exception rather than the rule. Cena is an awful actor and HHH would be a terrible choice other than looks.

Hearing that Kenneth Branagh was directing probably has me more excited for this film than anything.

And I actually think that John Cena has at least the look for Captain America, but not necessarily the personality and qualities required to pull that role off. I would have preferred to see him play Duke in G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra.

Agreed. I'm not a huge fan of Thor(my least favorite founding Avenger besides Hulk) but Branagh directing it makes me excited. It just seems like a very appropriate film for him to be directing.

John Cena is a bit too "sassy". I don't watch wrestling anymore but I remember him always being the loud-mouth, and Cap needs someone who is stern, stern but fair. Leonardo DiCaprio was starting to grow on me when I heard that rumor, but he's too baby-faced to be Cap.

Yeah, wrestlers are not the best choice for actors. The only exceptions are characters that are the strong, silent type. Even with the Rock, he eased his way into it. They didn't give a leading role right off the bat, same as HHH.

And in HHH's defense, I thought he was hilarious in Blade III. Especially his banter with Ryan Reynolds. Of course, I doubt that would translate very well to Thor.

He could be a good Bucky, though.

Good point. I really could see him being Winter Soldier later on.

My friend shot this at me yesterday. Considering I'm in love with Natalie Portman, I think that this movie can only continue to get better.

Yup. This looks to be another winner from Marvel. Iron Man and Incredible Hulk were both outstanding, especially Iron Man. Thor looks to continue the trend. I can't wait for some info on the Captain America movie.

if they follow the last couple comics, and the minis like Reign of Blood and Ages of Thunder, and do them epicly in those parts like in 300 or so, this will be one bad A movie. Anyone who doesnt think they like Thor should check out those books its the story of Thor basicly going mad and then his father casts him out and makes him a human. My guess is Hemsworth is Donald Blake, not really Thor
