SOOOO much stuff that I want from this list !
The NECA figures of Vasquez, Newt, and Kenner-style Ripley are VERY exciting, and are most definitley must buys ! I've been slacking on my NECA Alien collecting lately, so I think I may have to pick up those recently-released Xenomorphs to hold me over until these new figures are released. The Hot Toys Ripley sounds like it could be cool too, but if I pick her up, I'll definitely need a couple of Xenomorphs, and I could see that getting very expensive very quickly, so I may have to refrain from ordering her. And, I've waited years to own a pair of Alien Stompers ! Normally, I'm not a big fan of Reebok, and I've joked with friends for years that if I were to ever buy a pair of Reeboks, they would have to be the Alien Stompers. I just hope that between the die-hard sneakerheads and the scalpers that prey on that community, that these shoes are actually obtainable. Action figure scalpers are definitely an annoyance, but sneaker scalpers are a whole other level of parasite.

Oh man if they're able to release a Kenner style Ripley....oh god. I would die if they started releasing all the Kenner aliens. Rhino, Preying Mantis, Flying Queen, Facehugger. It would be incredible

I'd LOVE to see NECA's take on the gorilla and snake Xenomorphs ! Also, I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd love a Kenner-style Bishop, just for the sake of nostalgia, because I loved that figure as a kid.

Randy has said that there's an upcoming wave of Aliens that will be completely Kenner inspired. Then mix a wave in of Kenner Aliens here and there.

That is VERY exciting news ! With NECA's love of homages, I'm still holding on to hope that we may eventually get figures based on Capcom's awesome and underrated Alien Vs. Predator arcade beat-em-up.

I've been asking about Bishop a few times. But I know those with likenesses can be tricky for this sort of thing.

I was hesitant to delve into NECA's Alien line at first, due to stories of QC issues, but I have never had any sort of issue with any NECA figure that I've purchased. And now, the Alien line is in the running to replace Marvel Legends and the Star Wars Black Series as my favorite current toy line. I have a LOT of catching up to do though, in order to fill in the gaps in my collection.

The figures are all I really care about, unless local cinemas here get screenings... I'm thinking Newt will either be cheaper or, more likely, come with a load of extras?
Loving that we'll finally get a smartgunner, and hoping the Kenner Ripley's gun is equally impressive! The original still looks well today. By the way, if you haven't read Out of the Shadows it's well worth your time. The audiobook with that talent could be even better in it's own way! The Rage War book (basically AvPvUSCM) by the same author is one long introduction to a trilogy but it still has enough canon-esque stuff to make you finish it. |

When Vasquez died in Aliens, she was a Private First Class, when did she become Lieutenant Vasquez? Oh well, doesn't matter, if it's really the Vasquez from Aliens with a Smart Gun, they can call her General Vasquez and I'd still want her!

I saw the movies two years ago at the Alamo Drafthouse, so I see no reason to see them on the big screen again. However, I might not being able to resist getting that Vasquez figure when she pops up.

Cool news about the Kenner Aliens. My favorite was always Atax and the Alien gear you could put on him. He'd always team up with Predator to kick Alien ass.

I recently dug my old Kenner aliens out to let my nephews play with them. Still have 12-18 of them, although nearly all of them are missing accessories and some of the aliens are missing appendages. It's always nice to see another generation get some fun out of your old toys, though.
I wonder what Newt can come with other than Casey and maybe her school award. Alien egg? Other half of Bishop? Cocoon gunk? |

Reebok Releasing ‘Aliens’ Sneakers as Part of ‘Alien Day’ If the articles I've read are correct, and both Ripley's and Bishop's Alien Stompers are released, I'm going to have to come up with some serious cash very soon, lol ! At this point, buying both is most likely out of the question, so I'm going to have to make some serious decisions. I'd easily wear Bishop's on a regular basis, since they are the more practical of the two. However, Ripley's audacious calf-length high-tops are just so iconic and so unique, that I'd hate to pass on them.

That's much more of a smartgun than what the Kenner figure had (semi-smartgun, but more cannon) IIRC.

Yeah but it's the same way they don't include every ridiculous accessory the Kenner predators came with like Nightstorm and Scavage having crotch-cannon net launchers.
