I saw them at TRU today, ehhhhh....... they are okay at best. Super Pose wasn't there, nor any villains except Venom.
I'll pass on them, but there was an interesting set of figures called kick-start or jump attack or some such thing. They are Mecha designs using cues from Spidey, Lizard, Black costume Spidey, etc. The thing that got my attention is that they are basically Transformers G1 Jumpstarters (Twin Twist and Topspin) in the way the operate. Pull them back and as the roll forward they pop open and stand up. Limited posability but may make cool base figures for updated Jumpstarters. That's about it, saw the cosplay kiddie webshooters too, pretty good sounds and voice clips so I may grab one to jam into a Legends Spiderman. |

I kind of want to see a size comparison with the Venom from this set and some MU figs.

That would suck if actual movie figures weren't out at launch.

I think this was found at some discount stores a few months ago (or something similar)? Either way, I think it's funny enough to be posted again.
Why does he look so friendly? He looks like he just told a joke.

A comparison shot of 2 pack spidey and movie comic pack spidey
Decent color scheme and build on the movie spidey. Just really lacking in the articulation area. The Movie spidey figure has the spider emblem molded not paint on like the 2pk version The best thing about the Movie figure is the Head sculpt =) simple head swap and your good. |

Checked TRU and Walmart found the comic line, really hoping when these are officially released that Movie Spidey and Lizard aren't a pain to find.

^Lol, I don't think they will be hard to find at all. Most collectors are going to give these a pass (with the exception of the super poseable Spidey).

Found wave 2 I guess not really following the waves, but purchased super poseable and the lizard, no other villains, will have to wait and see the movie but at least for now the lizard looks ridiculous. He comes with one of those overly big pack in blasters

I picked up the Lizard and Ultra poseable. I'm still underwhelmed. The ultra poseable is a nice bone to the collectors with the extra articulation. Me personally? I'll be sticking with a MU spidey for my goto spider.
I'll be picking up a few of the Lizard to use as Reptillians. As in the conspiracy theorist/alien invasion reptillians. Not a believer but it makes for a great story. As the lizard though. I'll be waiting for video to see the movie. |

Just got back from Wal-Mart and they had I guess I'd call it the bare minimum of new stuff. Not in the isle but in front of the one next to it and they don't look bad at all once you look past the lack of articulation. I got one of the new movie suit figures (he has a zip line thing) and honestly I like him. The pics you guys posted of the ultra articulated Spidey or whatever he's called look great but seeing him in package he looks kind of meh.
