All you can say is that it's dumb? Why? Do you not like Star Wars or Angry Birds? Or both?
I think that it's cool!

Some people feel that it's a cash-in gimmick, which is not necessarily wrong.
Others love it when two of their interests cross over, like chocolate and peanut butter. But it's not like Lucasfilm has never slapped the Star Wars logo on to an existing game before (chess, checkers, Monopoly, Life, Risk, Stratego, Scene It?, Trivial Pursuit, Operation, Guess Who?, Battleship, Trouble...).

Man, some people are pretty upset about these (I read the press release thread too). I have no intention of collecting these, but couldn't pass up the Early Bird Pack. I had the original early bird pack back in the day so to me it's cool to have. I'm not opening it, and this is all I'm getting from the line, but I can see these selling. This is far from the dumbest SW merchandise we've seen.
Anyway, I picked this up at TRU last night. They had all the sets in stock.

I know I said in the PR thread that I probably wouldn't get any of these unless it was the Darth Pig figure, but I was thinking it over the other day. My daughter has been asking me to get her some AB sets for a few of months now (ever since she saw my nephew's).
I might cave and get her a couple of these, only so I can justify getting my Darth Pig. This way I won't get sucked into buying another toy line for myself, especially one with a Star Wars theme. I am a recovering SW completionist, after all.

I saw an entire endcap full of the SW birds stuff, I will not get any of it but I did bend just a little, The blind bag stuff has a "mystery" /Chase character of Han pig in carbonite, so I felt the bags and got one that had the carbonite in it, it is the only square one but you can also tell if you have the Rancor too because it is bigger.

Thanks for the heads up! Is there a Darth Pig in that series too? If I can get a single pack of it, then I won't have to buy any sets at all.
