Love the last shot of Superman on the Batmobile. World's Finest did their first meeting perfectly.

I'm a huge fan of the BtAS line, but I just don't think Superman makes the transition to a three dimensional figurine very well. He just looks strange and a little too angular compared to the way he seems to appear in the show. Maybe it's just me, but this thing just doesn't work visually.

Seriously though I actually really like how this set looks so I might get one later when it drops in price a little.

Just give me the civilian Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne and I will be a happy camper with this line.
I am getting this 2 pack but so many things DCC could have done better. THe hip joints were the worst decision. They should have really done the bar bell joints. |

Not really sure if this line will last. It would be nice if it did. If it does then they will do more figures in this fashion.

This line is pretty much already dead. This set just seems like one last parting gift for the animated line. Nothing else new was shown in this line at SDCC and this Superman set has been known of since before SDCC back in 2016.

What a shame. I wonder if the Batman: The Animated Series and Superman Animated Series lines would have sold better if they would have had a better character selection. Instead of burning up spots with non-essential characters like The Creeper, Roxy Rocket and Fire Suit Batman, if they would have released more important characters like TAS Two-Face and Mr. Freeze I think the line would have been a better seller and would have lasted longer. Such as it is we have incomplete rogues galleries and the chances of getting Superman Animated Series figures look pretty grim. I was hoping that there would be a single carded Animated Superman, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. Bummer. |

Lois could of had a smiley face like she does when saved by superman, rather than disappointed

While we didnt see any new figures they did show a new Joker vehicle & Expression pack Harley at SDCC so there might be some other stuff in the works (Still got the batcave/Alfred set & the GCPD 5 pack to look forward to soon as well)

The idea of animated figures as a whole.
I totally forgot about the Joker car and Harley's expression pack. Okay I was wrong there was technically some new stuff shown. The fact though that they have yet to indicate whether or not they're going to sell those GCPD lockup figures individually or not is one of those "line is ending" signs for me, it's especially lame because the pack is looking like it's going to be way overpriced for 5 figures.

I kind of want to wait and see if they individual releases of these two with extra heads or accessories. Even if the releases have slowed down to a more manageable pace it still seems like there will be more coming along sometime.

That or eventually this pack's price will drop enough that you won't be bothered by the lack of additional head options or accessories. Even if they do individual releases alternate heads aren't a guarantee since none of the individual releases so far have included extra heads, just hands and accessories and this set does include alternate hand options on par with the individual figures.

They did a Facebook live thing a few days ago and answered questions. They said the line is definitely not dead. They said the reason they haven't been doing any single figures is that they released 40 already in such short order. They are doing bigger things for the rest of the year, but have more singles planned for next year, since retailers want different price point stuff on the shelves.

That's cool to hear. I'd love some Superman and Batman Beyond villains.

Well then I hope that my gut-feelings turn out wrong and that DC is right because I'd definitely like to see more from this line. Justice League figures from both runs (JL and JLU) would be cool to see and then obviously more from the Batman shows. Won't be surprised though if this doesn't pan out since they have a recent history of giving lines the axe despite more figures being shown which then never see release.

I hope this is true. I would still love to see individually carded versions of Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Two-Face and The Grey Ghost from the Batman: The Animated Series line. I would at least like to see an individual Superman, Lex Luthor and Brainiac figures for an animated Superman line.
I hope they make a box set of Batman Under the Red Hood as well. This has been a fun line, and I definitely invested in it. Glad to hear that there are things in the works for more single carded figures. The recent multi figure box set is too expensive IMO. Shame too because I wanted some of those figures. |
