Now some of us this won't apply to, but some of us out there this Holiday season maybe the crafty type, the artistic, the sentimental or down right poor and instead of spending hard earned $$ at department stores and malls you could take the time and make that special someone something from the heart. Be it a painting, card, poem, popsicle stick jewelry box, or maybe something bad ass like handmade clothes or even furniture who knows. Just curious if anybody made anything this year for someone else or just bought every gift?
I bought 99% of my gifts, I did however make a painting for my father-in-law. He showed me this book he had on his family history, "Birt family History" and turns out they have a coat of arms with a shield, helmet, fluer de les/fillagry and a banner below. I've spent the better part of a week working on it, off and on. I'm nearly complete, I need about another hour left of painting touchups then the black work to go over and fine up the lines, once that's done it'll get 2 coats of clear and be ready for delievery for tomorrow. I'll be posting some pics asap, to give ppl a heads up, personally was a nice project to do, but damn there's so much silver detail that my eyes started hurting. The coloring for the thing is all silver and black,I added gold to the banner and made a nice red background for the piece to pop on. I have some starting pics and once done will post finishing pics. Happy Holidays! |

Are you scratchbuilding, parts bashing or what? Having that grown in 1/18th scale would be crazy expensive! I just finished my Moon Knight custom, I'll work on the Shroud next and I'm building both a Sky Cycle for Hawkeye and the Atomic Steed for mu Blcak Knight custom. |
