yes sir. i never liked the large martin simply cuz it didnt have the tradmark articulated fingers. i found one cheap, and customized it with lego hands with articulating palm, fingers and thumbs. i also took advatnage of the bland head design and 2 eyes and added a mouth similar to squares. so i drilled a mouth and added a tooth. then i moved the chest armor to the left so the mouth would be visible. next was to take off the bottom cylinder piece that is attached to the waist and lowered it so it lengthen the large martin. the arms don't move more 10 degrees, but that's the design flaw, not my doing. over all, i like it better my way.

Brilliant! The nonarticulated fingers has stopped me from getting any large martins so far. 20+ figures in and not one LM or DLM. Id be more inclined to pick them up if they had better hands/fingers.

exactly! its the main reason you can readily find large martins for cheap. poor design.

I have a suggestion for you, when you're construction your robot figures using the bottle caps for arms and legs you should have the cap bottoms facing eachother and use superlglue/hotglue to keep them together, I think it's give a cleaner/more streamline look. I do love the WIP pics, keep up the creativity!
