Definitely. That's been my only issue with this line. Unless you need to have them all you could really just pick one version and be satisfied though. There aren't that many and I love Rocky so I got them all, but would've been happy with less.

Saw these at TRU this morning- they're statues. No hip articulation of any kind that I could see- only the arms. waist and head move.
Also, who the hell cares about Rocky at this point? Why does TRU stock tons of nostalgia crap is beyond me- they have an entire asile full of nothing but Rocky, T2, glow in the dark Robocop, Predator and assorted Mego dolls, Plus Gremlins and horror figs....all of it gathering dust. I think their toy buyer is taking a kickback from the manufacturers of this stuff....menawhile, stuff like U is given maybe one case every three months and GI Joe and the SW Vintage line even less, even though they actually sell.

Isn't nostalgia the main reason that adults buy toys in the first place?
I just wanted to add some info about the figures to this thread in case anyone who doesn't have any and might be on the fence read that stupid ass post and doesn't know any better. All of the figures have a ball hip joint (it's like MOTUC figs), ankle swivels, toe articulation, knee artic, elbow artic, head/neck ball joint, shoulder artic, ab crunch/swivel, & wrist swivels. So all of you whackadoos out there who are still into older movies and shows like Rocky, Scarface, Star Wars, He-Man, The Godfather, The A-Team, etc,.. you know, the very very few of you, buy your Rocky figures with articulated confidence and enjoy.

i agree that making more than one rocky is just stupid. i bought the fight damaged rocky from series 1 and one of each of the co-stars... i don't see this line going any further than series 3 which is a good thing...

I'm really impressed by these toys. There are 2 things about these figures that NECA is really innovating: the fleshtone molding, and the hidden articulation beneath the rubber shorts. The fleshtone looks fantastic and gives the skin a slightly translucent sheen. The hidden articulation works so well it fooled some folks like Mr Abbadon :-) |
