I guess Galactus is starting to show up now, so I was wondering if anyone had any input on how the MU version compares to the BAF?
I was having a conversation with a friend who was telling me about the new Galactus-sized Sentinels coming out down the road, and I gotta say I prefer the BAF version of him after seeing the pics. Given the price tag on the Galactus it seems just a feasible to get his BAF and save the hunting but I'm not that familiar with either figure. NOTE: I should add that I mostly collect TFs, I'm not a huge Marvel collector so my knowledge of the various figures as good as many of yours. I know the decision is ultimately mine, I'm just looking for some input. |

I want to know how the MU version fares compared to the BAF too. I have the latter, and it's decent. Hate how the skirt hinders hip movement though.

The Marvel Legends Galactus is a couple of inches shorter than the new one coming out now. The old ML one has a more classic style going on while the new one has a more modern Galactus feel to it. I'm keeping my old Legends Galactus for my classic showcase and the new darker variant for my modern one.
That darker variant is the shizzznite! |

Th0r4z1n3, I'm not entirely sure, but I think that the MU Sentinels that are going to be coming out are not quite as tall as the new MU Galactus.

I think you're right, Ludo. IIRC, the new Sentinel will be about as tall as the BAF version, while the new Galactus is supposed to be a few inches taller than his BAF version.
I have the BAF of Galactus, but I'd still love to pick up the MU version. Electronics, bonus Surfer variant (with a really nice deco, too) and it's even more imposing next to the 3.75" figures. I hope if I can snag one at all, that it will be the dark variant. Love that deco.

well, i just keep display my olf BAF from toybiz and keep the hasbro one in the big ass box !! hehehe (honestly i have difficult to bring that big box to my home after buy it)...im like the Toybiz version more than hasbro ones. its very "COMIC" style i think. the modern ones looks cool but still there's something iffy about it hehehe.
the darker one is came from game ULTIMATE ALLIANCE, right???the color is looks like the same, but dunno its right or not. for sentinel, TOYBIZ is still the best, the new one from hasbro cant beat it i think.

The BAF Sentinel, Apocalypse and Galactus are all about the same height. Technically, Galactus is a bit shorter if you only go to the top of his helmet. Same height if you count his ears, though.

I have never seen the MU version in the wild, so I can't say it's "that much better" then the bad version, but it does look good, The light up/voice mechanism is a nice touch, and I do like the dark variant, however having said this, I do enjoy my baf version alot, I love the facesculpt on him and the articulation in the hands, scale wise he's good, but big is sometimes better. I just can't justify the $60-70 + like 30-40 to ship the big guy.

I think it is a fact that size matters, but the old School Galactus has a "je ne sais quoi"
BTW it can still hold his Surfer

Personally if you can afford it, get both! I may get the MU version if it ever shows up at retail/lcs level to avoid shipping as it's just 2 big and heavy to find cheap shipping for.

I need the dark variant and the single carded version. Same for the sentinel, I've only seen pictures of the variant.
