all my co-workers are saying the line is dead but for my sake i am hoping they are just full of crap, i would hate to see that line die being that i love TC so much and was happy that we were getting better figures. i've been reading most of the TC threads here and haven't come up with anything and also even joined the TC forum and still nothing that place is saturated with the modern version so i just need a solid answer is anyone may know.

lmao hey the figures arent bad, a hell of a lot better then the vintage ones. . . last year at NYCC i asked four horsemen about thundercats and product quality in regards to customers complaints and they said they would love to have the license and have been trying to get some new ones which would be awesome if they did.

Bandai USA has been tight lipped. But it's likely done. They have been absent from the last two major venues to showcase new Thundercats (Toy Fair and San Diego Comic-Con) and the only response I've ever gotten is that the spring line is currently on shelves and that I can find Thundercats at all major retailers.

The classics are on clearance and have been warming my local TRU for awhile now and all they have is Tygra. I highly doubt they will be releasing anything new, which is a shame really, but if people aren't buying them......

Thundercats as a whole is gone from all my local Targets and the Walmarts around me are flip-flopping between clearance and retail while they reduce shelf space to a couple of pegs.
I'm starting to wonder if the whole thing might go under. It'd be a shame, as I'm a big fan of the new toon. But I've already got all of the TC figures I wanted, so new toys won't do me any good.

I've gone with the Mezco oversized Classics. Sure they're basically just articulated statues, but they look fantastic on the shelf. I wouldn't hold out hope of Bandai putting out any new molds.

Thundecats is dead. Dan Norton, the art director behind the show, said the show is done. Without the show, there is no toyline. Without the toyline, there is no show. It is a very convoluted circle, but both are done either way.

In the UK all I seee is the first line of the 4" figs and classics Tygra and they've been warming the shelves since early this year. I'm catually tempted to pick up the thundertank cheap. If only to fill the gap until I get that mumm-ra vehicle

For me the entire line was dead right from the start because they only made classic Tygra & Lion-O. No Cheetara=NO SALE!
Would it really have killed them to make Cheetara & Panthro too? |

Love my large Lion-O I got from Classics, but I am pretty sure that it is dead.
I really wanted to get the original gang at least in this form, but I doubt it. And Bandai of America apparently didn't think it was going to go very far either I mean there was never any other classics info released. I wish the Tygras that are on clearance at my WM had the same chest as Lion-O but alas they do not. |

I picked up Panthro last week. It looks nearly dead on to the cartoon. The best Mezco has done so far for me.

The show is dead, too??? That was the best thing Cartoon Network had...
And this is coming from someone who loves Young Justice, and absolutely positively hated the original Thundercats, feeling it was one of, if not the worst cartoon of the eighties. That's how impressed I am with the new show to feel it's the best one on CN. Well this ruins my day.... D:

I was all about the new series during the first few episodes but by the end of the season I was super disappointed.

Here's a little love. I don't have them displayed anymore. But they were on my shelf for a good minute...

I'm going to get the mini-mates Thundercats, at least I might get something resembling the complete cast.
I'm sure somebody will make a decent line of classic Thundercats figures one day - go to your local comic shop and see some of the obscure characters that have figures, I believe if some of them can be made to be profitable, then Thundercats can be as well.
