It's all good, in the scene from the film the Dude (Jeff Bridges' character) is responding to his bowling rival after he said something that basically flew right over his head, it was not at all an opinion being given to the Dude just a threat and his response is totally inapplicable but it's still a good quote to throw around.

Superman is shipping to stores now, found a few at TRU on Saturday. The first one I was going to buy had a missing paint app on the chest symbol, so watch out for that. I found another with no error and switched it before I checked out. Fantastic figure.

When my figures came in the mail last week I was so relieved to have zero issues with paint or breakage. The Superman is my personal favorite toy of him. This might be my favorite Joker figure now but the animated one is putting up a pretty good fight, since they're different versions I get to love them both equally.

some of the paint on the lower trunks of my batman was scrapped off in the package. evidently the bare plastic underneath is bright yellow for some reason. bit of a heartbreak but still, cool little figure.
i'll make myself feel better about it by rationalizing that its not very noticeable on a crowded shelf full of figures.. |

Greetings All,
I'm new here, and just recently became aware of toy ark and these boards. I wanted to point out that the Neca reel toys Chris Reeve Superman figure does in fact have a upper torso ball joint as well as a ball joint at the waist/belt line. It looks like Neca's solution to hiding this joint was to cover the torso with a softer plastic "shirt" covering. Anyone familiar with the old Art Asylum Classic Star Trek figures could look to those as an example as they utilized a similar technique for disguising the upper torso/ab joint. The material they used on Superman is somewhat firm and not really pliable, so it's easy to miss that the joint is there. However, if you firmly hold the mid torso and move the upper chest you can feel it move independently of each other. Though there is not a lot of movement there. I can also attest to being wary of the joints on this figure as I went through two Superman figures before getting one in which the joints freed up without breaking. I think the blue plastic they molded to match the costume color is just too brittle. Add to the fact that several of those joints have painted surfaces and that leads to easily broken action figures. Make sure you heat up all of the joints with a hair dryer. It worked wonders.... On figure #3... Other than that, it is truly a beautiful action figure. The likeness to Christopher Reeve is uncanny. Regards, OAD |

Just found one for clearance at my TRU... Bought it. Looks gorgeous... But... The left leg fell off the second I took it out of the plastic. Clean break at the peg, with fragments of white goo on the sides. Someone had obviously tried to glue-gun it back on and returned it.
Oh well. I superglued the leg on and put it on display anyway. Really love the look but not the $50 to $100 eBay price. The $19 I paid was more acceptable. Hoping evil Chinese ko groups get a good product out, so I can put this one back in the box, and have a posable one for display.

I also paid $20 @ TRU for it but that's regular retail price. If it said clearance then it should had been under 20 bucks.

When I saw Neca was making a Reeve Superman, I was thrilled! I had some of their Resident Evil figures and those were really spot-on and quality was fair to good. Now, I just gotta hope-against-hope that Neca somehow acquires the rights to do a George Reeves B&W Superman!!!!

So I finally got my Superman I ordered off the WarnerBros. Store on ebay. One of the legs broke off at the knees almost immediately. Seriously, I barely touched it at all and it snapped right at the knee.
The store does not offer exchanges (as well as good customer service) and the NECA site does not seem to ever respond to my emails. Does anyone know if I should be contacting NECA or DC Collectibles to see about getting a replacement figure? |

NECA told me to go thru the customer support of the store where purchased... so... basically, any issues, you are out of luck getting a replacement. Maybe money back, but that's it. Sucks.

Yeah, webz, I contacted the WB Exclusives store and they just send automated emails saying I have to pay to return it. You'd think that a company as big as Warner Brothers could hire someone to actually answer people's emails :P Last edited by darthschroeder; 01-28-2016 at 07:13 AM.. |

I don't have a twitter account but I might get one just to see about a replacement. I thought it might be a DCC Figure since it has the DCC logo plastered on the package in three different spots but I wasn't quite sure. I NECA worked out a licencing agreement with DCC to make these 7" DC Figures happen.

Common use is "DC" when referring to DC Comics and "DCC" when referring to the company DC Collectibles.
