The 'Evergreen' line Mattel have been prepping while there's no new show. First time I've seen that name though.
Edit: Also, that yellow batman. Erugh. Last edited by LeChap; 05-05-2012 at 12:21 PM.. |

Wow what's with the zero articulation. Seriously Mattel you canceled the craptastic Young Justice line for even crappier Batman figures. Good going fellas.

If that Yellow batman got an individual release, I'd have to get it because the colors are stupidly awesome.
But I seriously can't understand Mattel's reluctance towards articulation. it's not like these things need 35 points of articulation, with three joints on each foot alone (Like some of the more rediculous Marvel Legends). Batman isn't super flexible like Spiderman. But even as a kid, every figure I owned I felt needed basic articulation. At least the same articulation most of the oldschool Toybiz X-men figures (Like Wolverine II). Basic shoulder, basic elbow, basic T-Crotch, and basic knees. I mean really, why is that so much to ask for?

I know what you mean. If the smaller GL movie figures would have had elbow and knee joints I would have bought the entire line. I'm seriously starting to wonder if Mattel is run by a bunch of chimps or something.

These figures are so-so. It'll probably end up being like Brave and the Bold where it's just slow moving. |

I already posted these pics on tfw but I figured I'd share them here since there is a thread for them already. Now just to note these figures are no where near as bad as the movie toys but if you are coming at these expecting Universe quality then definitely don't buy.

Oh wow they actually have decent articulation. I'm definitely liking that normal Batman. Repaint it black and grey and it's a buy for me. The Robin's not half bad either.

On a side note I'm really loving that the line is just barely coming out and there already is a joker, croc, freeze, robin, and 2 face figures. There are definitely a lot of batmans but they are making sure that they actually make other characters for the line. Also, you can't really tell from the pics but they also can swivel 360 at the waist. |

The black and grey suit is part of the Mr Freeze mission wave. The blue suit came from the 2 face mission wave.

Give me a Nightwing and I'll buy it. Other than that, this line is ass.

As long as the Nightwing is normal looking and not gimmicky I'd buy one on sight.
I like that Two-Face and Mr. Freeze. Saw the Batmobile while doing a Google search and it looks pretty sweet. Not a bad line considering it's for kids. |

here are some pics of the batmobile and deluxe figures. The batmobile is awesome but the deluxe figures are just kinda meh. I knew they weren't very poseable but having a kicking batman with giant spinning saws attached to his leg was too ridiculous to pass on. As for the batmobile, the inside seems like it would be big enough to fit a Universe figure but I couldn't get the AC batman in due to the cape.

I posted this last night on TFW but I thought I share these wave 2 pics here too. I like all the figures in this wave but the real standout is the mutant batman. It isn't because the figure itself is special but because of the story on the packaging. To fight killer croc batman basically decides it's okay to throw toxic waste on himself to turn into a bat to help with the battle.
Its great to see the Rouge Gallery coming together so quickly in this line. |
