This year is explosive one for the big screen superhero fans as Marvel pits Team Captain America against Team Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War, while DC pits the Bat of Gotham against the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
So last night while I was bored I decided to create a mash-up of the two with my 3.75-inch movie superhero figures. I call it Batman v Superman: Civil War. The shelf is split by the two opposing superhero factions. Team Batman on the left and Team Superman on the right. Team Batman: Batman Captain America The Falcon Hawkeye Thor Green Lantern (in the background / you can see him behind Batman) Team Superman: Superman Iron Man War Machine Spider-Man The Hulk Groot (in the background / you can see him behind Superman) And as you can see I make the most sensible team-ups. For example in both upcoming blockbuster movies, Batman and Captain America are the vigilante types hunted by their governments, while Superman and Iron Man are like the anti-vigilante/pro-government guys. So if their worlds collided it would make sense that Batman and Captain America will be on the same side, with Superman and Iron Man on the other. |

Seriously? Superman's team is stacked. Have Hulk, Groot and Superman tank hits in a line and have the ironmen shoot from behind. Plus Odinson isn't all that mighty nowadays.

@ Omanlew, Kamatayan
Well Hulk and Groot goes wherever Iron Man goes. It’s like a “package deal.” lol Bruce Banner and Tony Stark have always been close, them being both Scientists. We’ve seen that in the Avengers movies for example. Groot – well we know Iron Man’s close to the Guardians of the Galaxy. They’ve had many space adventures together in the comic books. War Machine needs no explanation. He goes wherever Iron Man goes. Lol This battle is more even than it might seem at a quick glance. Batman has some Kryptonite surprise up his sleeve as he takes on Superman. Green Lantern takes on the Groot (which likely takes place in space when a small pack of Green Lanterns on a recon mission cross paths with the Guardians of the Galaxy). Thor takes on the Hulk (well we know how even that can turn out). By the way, speaking of Thor and Hulk, this whole battle is actually a three-movie mash-up, as opposed to just the two movies that I mentioned in my original post: 1. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2. Captain America: Civil War -AND- 3. Thor: Ragnarok (where it is rumored that Thor and the Hulk will be going at each other big time at some point in the movie). @ zk101 Thanks. Extended cut will show more Easter eggs. does kryptonite even exist in the nolanverse or dceu? definitely not in the mcu. and even if team batman somehow gets ahold of kryptonite we don't know if it'll even work on supes.

We don't know if there's Kryptonite in the Nolanverse. We haven't been shown one in the movies. But that also doesn't mean there isn't one. There could be or could not be one. Nolan declined to work on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice even though he was offered by WB on the project. And that was why Snyder was brought on board instead. Had Nolan agreed to take on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we would be seeing a Nolanverse Batman in the movie going up against Superman. And Nolan was WB's first choice. If Batman fails to obtain Kryptonite in this team battle or if it doesn't work on this version of Superman, then he would have to fight the Hulk instead with Thor replacing him to fight Superman. |

hulk smash puny bale batman and thor would get utterly destroyed by supes. have you seen man of steel? supes is just too ridiculously powerful. I don't see anyone on team batman that can match him. hell he'd take them all out on his own.

and I don't think he was ever offered batman v superman or even man of steel.

Il Cattivo, here's the answer to your question whether or not Kryptonite exists in the DCEU.
Just came across this. I also hate it when they reveal so much. I've been trying to avoid pics and vids. |

breaking into lexcorp probably won't be easy though and nolan's version of batman is weak and useless.
but maybe his teammates will do it for him

Saves Lex all the trouble of doing it himself. And that’s probably what’s gonna happen in Batman v Superman movie anyway (ehem *spoiler*). I’m so glad I got the Nolan 3.75 inch Bats figure. Because it’s real neat and in scale with my Marvel 3.75 movie figs. In comparison the Batman v Superman figures look corny and cheap and anachronistic with the 6-inch scale and all that. I got a real cool diorama for it too! Just wait for my next photo update. |

Team Batman:
Batman Captain America The Falcon Hawkeye Thor Green Lantern (in the background / you can see him behind Batman) Team Superman: Superman Iron Man War Machine Spider-Man The Hulk Groot (in the background / you can see him behind Superman) Groot is pretty much immortal, so maybe a trick arrow could keep him at bay or burn him down while he regenerates. Unless Batman has serious prep-time and foreknowledge of each of Supes team, this is a hard sell and the scale is in Superman's favor. Batman' team needs another big muscle, although Batman is a master detective, Spiderman is a genius and so is Stark and Superman. Again, another tip to Supes team. How could Batman's team stop them? If Kryptonite is in play, Thor could put him down but that leaves Hulk who only gets stronger and Hulk doesn't even need to breathe, leaving Green Lantern probably the only one who could contain him but only for a short time since Hulk is pretty creative with his strength (burrowing underground if he's caged; but also leaving Green Lantern out of the fight to sustain said enclosure). Maybe Bat's needs another muscle to tank some hits. Thor would get rekt by Hulk, Supes, and Groot combined. |

add ang lee hulk to batman's team and we have a fight. that hulk was tossing tanks around like they were nothing. he'd give supes a fight and stomp everyone on his team including puny mcu hulk.

forget breaking the shield. supes speedblitzes cap, snatch the shield off him and then decapitate him with it.

If Batman has it – and since this is a “team” battle – he’s likely going to equip each and every one in his team with it. So Cap would have some kind of Kryptonite accessory or weapon with him as well. In this scenario – suppose Superman knows in advance that Bats’ team has Kryptonite – he’s likely going to sit this battle out and just have Iron Man and the rest of his teammates go into the fight. If however Superman enters the fight without knowing that Team Bats has Kryptonite, we still pretty much get the same result. Because he’s going to be useless to his team once Kryptonite drains him of his powers. Quote:

spidey was shot in the leg by a puny cop in TASM. he's very hittable. I see hawkeye tagging him while being distracted by cap.
but that's if ironman or WM doesn't blast his ass first

Iron Man or WM wouldn't. They're on the same side as Spidey.
Speaking of Cap and Spidey, the new Civil War Trailer shows Spider-man snatching Cap’s shield away! Awesome! And he’s clearly on Iron Man’s side, just as it is on my toy display. My team arrangements are pretty consistent with the movies. We’ve got Iron Man, War Machine, Spider-man on one side and on the opposite side Captain America, The Falcon, and Hawkeye. That’s of course as far as Civil War is concerned. Then of course we have Batman and Superman on opposite sides just as it is in Dawn of Justice. And Thor vs Hulk like is it rumored for Thor: Ragnarok. |
