So folks, which are your favorite jedi starfighters? Do you like one in particular, or have a select few? This thread is all about jedi starfighters! Also, the Delta 2 was released recently and seems pretty neat. It splits into 2 ships, one for the droid, and the other for the pilot, the pilot's portion is reminiscent of the epIII starfighter only without folding wings. I haven't seen it in person yet, not sure if I would like it better than the earlier Clone Wars jedi starfighter. I LOVE how the old one looks with the panels blasted off. Anakin's custom fighter is quite sleek, and excellent too.

Anakin's Blue angel is still my favorite PT ship. It's just so damn cool looking and it is so Anakin to totally rebuild his ship to be unique. The A wing is my favorite OT ship

The Greivous starfighter is my favorite. It's slick with nice colors, and it's piloted by GREIVOUS!

I'm still partial to the original ships myself, I love you X-wing.

The Delta fighters are deffinately my favourites. They look like flying knives. Very sleek, dangerous, yet powerful.

I would have to go with the B-Wing. I always liked that ship.

Gotta go old school and say it's a tie between the X-Wing for Rebels and Vader's TIE Advanced for the Empire (no pun intended). Although not a starfighter, I really love the Snowspeeders as well.

Some of my favorites include the ep2 Jedi Starfighter, Vader's ep3 Jedi Starfighter(it may not be canon but that paint job is MENACING!), Vader's TIE Advanced, the X-wing, A-wing, B-wing(that toy is excellent), Anakin's customized Clone Wars starfighter(swing wings), TIE bomber and the TIE interceptor.
I am anticipating the day I see the new Delta 2 in person. I want to see it from all angles. |

Though I could've sworn the droids on Delta 2s were built-in. In fact, I'm almost positive. Or maybe I'm thinking of a different model. I do like the separating bit. Looks neat and the droid-piloted one makes a great recon fighter. |

I love how the Delta 2 toy is compatible with the hyperspace ring right off the bat. |

EDIT: I was half-right. There was a model with built-in droids, but there not centered. EDIT 2: Ah, I was confusing it with Anakin's custom fighter, which still featured a built-in droid, but it was centered. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 11-23-2008 at 07:24 PM.. |

Not the toy per se, but the construction of the craft it's based on. I would think that enemy fighters would target the astromech in order to disable the craft and/or possibly the lesser-skilled pilots. Having the port next to the cockpit means the enemy pilot could effectively kill two birds with one stone.

Unless it's a hard-wired, "truncated" astromech like the Delta-7. Of course, it's understandable if the intent is for the ship to have a full-size astromech on-board.
Even still, it seems too close to the cockpit for my tastes.

I am tempted to buy the Delta 2 onsight, but Anakin's in the show looks quite awesome too in grey and yellow. I think this will be a fun toy to play with, I only wish it had opening wings like the ROTS fighter, I actually thought it would.

I don't know why the wings don't pop open. The other deltas have it. It would've looked great being able to "transform" into an Ep 3 style Starfighter.

Just got the Delta7B(the one I referred to as Delta 2 earlier) and it is a fun ship to play with. The droid cockpit can actually fit a regular sized figure. Anyone think Asohka will sit in the droid cockpit in the cartoon later on, with a dome cockpit over it? I think so, the cockpit was obviously meant to be compatible for either a drone, or human/alien/clone figure to sit inside, you can clearly see the leg room sculpted in, if it were just for the drone I doubt Hasbro would have gone out of their way to sculpt those parts in, and detail the interior as well.
I recommend this starfighter. I prefer the look of the old delta with the wings open and panels blown off, and the ROTS fighter with wings popped open, but this is a nice transitional fighter, one that bridges the gap between ep2 starfighter design, to ep3. Worth getting and the separation aspect boosts playability. Once you pull the droid ship out, the wings of it pop out automatically. There is even an in between mode, unofficial, and not mentioned in the instructions or packaging. Basically don't pull the droid ship all the way out, if softly stays in position with the wings out but not completely detached from the main ship. It looks like the delta 7b with a gap in the middle, but with canards. It isn't the most stable of modes but it does look rather cool. I do prefer the more angular canopy on the original deltas, but the benefit of this new canopy, is that it gives the pilot much more vision. On the old delta toys, the forward view is completely blocked by the canopy frame itself! Another thing I think all of you will love, is the fact that EVERYTHING on the fighter is PAINTED! |

Deffinately getting this Starfighter. I'm on the fence about vehicles, not because of the price, because they're deffinately a good value, but the size. Where am I going to put these all? |

It could just be to add play value to the toy, and nothing else. If it does turn out that someone pilots it in the show, people will just start to complain about the lack of dome. lol
