Now that I have finished all 3 avenger films ie ironman/thor/capt.A,I was surprised that out of the 3 I felt thor was the coolest with ironman being a very close second and capt.A being a huge let down,so out of the 3 released, which in your opinion is the best?

Capt. America was my favorite out of the 3 options.

Thor smashes the granny out of them all. I'm 1 was very good. I'm 2 was cool too but most fans seem to think they dropped the ball with that one. Cap was pretty cool.

ultimate avengers movie 1+2 yh not answer you were really looking for but the 1st one was good and well animated espically with voices and clearly they had spent a lot of time on it ! dont get me wrong i love the movies all 3 in fact but its to quick release if you think about , soon you hear theres an iron man 2 .. then thor , then captain america , if you think about the films were realsed very quickly and seemed rushed , i reckon they could better for example Thor Vs Destroyer very short battle scene as well as with loki and frost giants and the other stuff was mushy , iron man 2 had too similiar story to the iron man , where a man gets a piece of tonys armour or technology and uses it aganist him ( well Whiplash) i personally went to see cause of warmachine , Captain America fight scenes were shortish slightly than the longer thor not as much as iron man2 , if i made Captain america i would of put wolverine in there simply cause they were good friends (apperently so i have heard) . But overall they were good and i enjoyed them. I hope better in avengers with alot more effot put in than the other 4 films i have discussed. This my opioion i dont mean any offense to anyone but like i said the films are excellent and i love them but also could be better.

Cap is my #1 choice as far as this thread is concerned. Then Thor and finally Iron Man after that.

Captain America was done surprisingly well IMO. About as well as you could possibly do a movie for a guy who's costume represents one of the most despised flags outside of his own country in current times and not have it seem incredibly campy.
But I would have to say Iron Man was the best of the 3 listed. Consider the impact it had on Iron Man as a pop culture icon overnight when no one outside of the general comic book fandom really cared about who he was prior. I've known who Captain America was since I was a kid. Thor, not so much. Iron Man, didn't appeal to me. Since the movie, even I was more compelled to read more about Iron Man/Tony Stark in the comics and he's since become one of my favorite heroes. As good as both the Thor and Captain America movies were, I just don't feel the pop culture impact of those characters were to the same degree as Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr's Portrayal of Tony Stark was almost equivocal to Heath Ledger's Joker in terms of what the mainstream public think about when hearing the names of the actor's fictional counterparts. That has to hold some weight to it. I can't wait to reopen this discussion when we can compare the movie trilogies of these characters when they are finally completed. That would be an even better measurement of success.

Cap
IM1 Thor/IM2 It is hard to put any of the movies in the "4th spot". Makes it look like it was last and god awful, though it wasn't, just not as good as the first.

Thor would have been better if he smashed more people in the head with his mystic uru hammer.

I would vote this way
Incredible Hulk- one of my favorite comic book movies ever right up next to Spiderman 2 my all time favorite. but only if I can vote that way with Cap at 2 Iron man coming in at 3 Iron man 2 at 4 & Thor at 5 and I explain why otherwise for the 3 listed 1. Cap-perfect in every way except needs more skull which I think we will get more of in the 2nd or 3rd movie. I mean we all realize he was just transported forward in time so he can scheme until Cap shows up 2. Iron man 2- lost a lot of steam from the first one and I just don't buy whiplash as a top bad guy. I would have rather had an armor wars themed movie with multiple bads in armor like Crimson Dynamo & Titanium Man with Whiplash and have the Mandarin as the behind the scenes big bad for a set up for Iron Man 3. Also if they don't follow through with the near perfect forshadowing with the Ten rings terrorist groups I will be so pissed off I might yell fire. just kidding that is against the law 3. Thor is here only because like a Slacker I have yet to see it but I have high hopes for it |

If we can vote for an Avengers film other than the above choices, then I'm going to go with the one with Sean Connery and Uma Thurman.

I didn't like the Hulk movie with Norton, I preferred the Banna one.
I heard Ang Lee was releasing a director's cut of that one with Nolte's character removed.

Sometimes I feel there are too many non super heroic parts in super hero movies that the super heroic parts in the movie aren't super heroic enough to justify, if you know what I mean? That fight with Abomination was pretty bad ass though.

The Ang Lee Hulk was awesome for what it was: a cerebral tragedy. Hulk, for all his physicallity is actually a psychological character. So Ang Lee totally succeeds there. Norton's Hulk was the better popcorn action flick, not as brooding, and nicely linked to Bill Bixby's Hulk that I grew up watching.
I have not seen Cap A yet, but I love the retro vibe of the colors on film, and Evans seems to really capture the persona of Steve Rogers from the clips I've seen. With those caveats out of the way, Here's my list: IM Thor Hulk (Norton) IM2 Hulk (Bana) That list is sure to be revised after I watch Cap A. I anxiously await the Avengers. |

I like the part in the middle where he smashes all those military vehicles.

And to remove Nolte would be a sin, sure he's not exactly the Absorbing Man we envisioned, but his monologue at the end was the climax of the movie. Nolte always impresses. |

Agreed. When Hulk goes batter up on the tank it actually looks like a living being doing it, such fluid motions. Very realistic.
