What scale? The HT Batman's are great, but I'm thinking you're probably referring to something abit more mainstream, the DCUC or DCD ones are great. Just depends on personal preference. DCD's have good detaling, but not as articulated as DCUC's. My main Bats is the 2-pack DCUC Batman and Robin one with the yellow belt, though I see alot of people go for the more modern belt.

It's a toss up for me. I really like the TRU Exclusive DCUC Batman. But then I also like the AA Batman.

If you're going for looks rather than articulation. Grab an AA Batman.

the first series DCUC Crimestopper Batman is sweet if you prefer the classic look. so is the battle damaged version from TRU it doesn't have the shadow over the cowl. and if you liked the Michael Keaton movie version there is a really sweet figure based on that as well.

I'd go with Arkham Asylum Batman or Justice Batman. No articulation but they look cool.

I like the 6-inch scale cloth-caped Batman fig from the TRU Exclusive Batman & Robin 2-Pack.. Too bad the Robin fig in the set sucks.

Cloth-cape Batman in the twopack Hrothgars showed above;
DC Superheroes wave 8 Batman; Toys R Us exclusive DC Universe Classics All-Stars Batman Walmart Dynamic Duo two-pack Batman If you like the Super Friends look, DCUC wave 1 Batman Brave and the Bold look? Batman Legacy wave 2 Golden Age Batman Bruce Wayne headed? DC Direct Secret Files unmasked DC Direct Arkham ones are nice too. All depends on the color scheme and mood you want. You gotta choose from Happy Bats, Stoic Bats, or angry Bats. Then you gotta choose black and gray or blue and gray. Then you gotta choose style: classic, modern, video game, movies, etc. Then you gotta choose plastic or cloth cape; masked or unmasked. There's a great Batman out there for all your needs. Choose your options and we'll point you in the right direction.

If scale isn't an issue, then I'd go for a super expensive one like hot toys

That aint correct, Bats is packed with so much articulation, yeah the shoulders can restrict the arms somewhat, but other than that, awesome. Justice Batman does suck with movement, I'll give you that! Last edited by Onslaught; 07-26-2012 at 10:02 PM.. Reason: Play Arts not DC, apologies. |

How about the playarts kai Arkham asylum Batman. Looks great, a bit pricey though. The new armored version looks great too

I don't have it anymore, but I used to have a batman 4pack with batman over the years, and was an awesome set.
The Dark Knight Batman DC Direct Through the Ages MIB | eBay I think it all comes down to 2 decisions. Movie vs comic/videogame look, and articulation vs sculpt. As a lot of DC figures nail the sculpt but lack articulation. As mentioned though Hot toys would be the way to go if $$ and scale isn't an issue or Play arts Kai version. |

Too many to pick from. It all depends on what you are looking for, the price you want, etc. I mean, you can't really compare a hot toys dark knight Batman vs, oh, a DCUC Batman. Apples and oranges. They each have their pros and cons.

Great thread.
I only have 3. The DCUC all star batman. Arkham Asylum, and the TRU exclusive classic colors when AC came out. I use the All Star for my justice league |

I have the Dynamic Duo two pack (Black & Gray, no yellow on the logo) And I totally dig him. With that being said I do want an Arkham Batna, and I do love the cape sculpt on the Long Halloween Batman.
Truly there is no wrong choice. Just depends on how you wish to display him. I wouldn't put an AA Bats in a Justice league shelf, for example. |

I really enjoy the Sinestro Corps Batman...the look on his face is very intense. It would be kind of weird to have him and not have another Batman though. But if you don't care so much about articulation, there was a great line back in the late 90's called Legends Of The Dark Knight. My favorite Batman figure from that line, and probably still my favorite to this day is called Neural Claw Batman. Look him up, he's just great. That's a line I'm eventually going to try to get every figure from. Articulation is very basic, but the detail on some of the figures is unreal.
