I've been looking to add a Batman figure to my toy collection, but I don't want to buy multiple Batmans. I want the "one" for a 6 inch, give or take, line.
I don't want to buy Hot Toys for price. So I've been looking at the Greg Capullo series, the DC Comics Icon series and open to other suggestions. What is the best Batman figure these days? |

Batman Arkham Origins is my favorite character design, but the body proportions and articulation of the figure that went into production were poor. Second favorite was the Kingdom Come Batman, but the wings were notorious for breaking. I'm still waiting for an iconic modern-style (gritty) Batman figure that scores high in all collector categories. I'm hoping that Batfleck will wear something that looks more sophisticated and technological and less like corduroy for the next movie. Anybody else?

Like Skoob said the Arkham Origins Batman from DC Collectibles is a great look and I think it's a solid figure but both of his hands are fists because he comes with literally nothing so that's a downside and I remember there being some potential QC problems. DCC is almost always putting out new Batman figures so there are usually some new options that can be considered.

I'm a big Batman fan so I have several. Because there are 5 different companies currently producing Batman figures, with two of them producing several different versions of Batman, you probably won't ever have "the one".
If you don't mind having a Batman on the shorter side then the Icons version is a good choice. For a mass market, easily available Batman, this would probably be my top choice. The figure is being retooled to make a DC Rebirth version and possibly a New 52 version (it's unconfirmed if that version is still coming out) so you have some options as far as looks go. The Capullo figures aren't bad but I'm not crazy about them even though I love his artwork. NECA has been making 7 inch versions of their 1/4 scale DC movie figures for the past couple of years which were released around Christmas time. They've done Keaton and West and both are pretty good. If they do more this year then 1/4 scale Batman Begins or BvS may get a 7 inch figure. I know you said you're interested in Hot Toys but if you want something high end but under $100, then you should look at Mafex, Mezco One:12 and S.H. Figuarts. |

The Arkham Batman figures are alright. The proportions on them are kinda off, and they don't pose very well, so I've never considered them to be among the best.
My personal favorites are the gray Batman and the Knight Shadow Batman from the DC Superheroes S3 collection. The only problem is that they go for a pretty penny these days, especially gray Batman. The blue and gray S3 Batman that came in the two pack with Batgirl is also pretty decent, as is the DCUC figure that came with the recent BvS TRU exclusive Batman 5 pack if you are looking for something more cost efficient while also being something you are able to play with. I can't really comment on the Icons Batman as I don't have him, but truthfully, as good as those figures look, there is something about the scale of them that bothers me, especially when compared to Marvel Legends (my primary collection focus...) |

Yes I looked at those and forgot to mention SH Figuarts is in the running. Wasn't terribly impressed with Mafex or Mezco. But I only saw one rendition of Mezco, is there more? The Mafex one for some reason puts me off, is there a non Batfleck one? Same with SH, is it just injustice?
I guess I'm looking for the traditional comic book clean look, but if those brands are heads and toes above, I'd consider them Figuarts has the Injustice Batman, which I never cared for, but they did show a Dark Knight/Dark Knight Rises figure at SDCC this year. Mezco One:12 has done 5 or 6 variants of Batman from The Dark Knight Returns but those will be harder to come by since most places will be sold out by now. They're also doing their own version of the standard BvS Batman. I found this blog that shows what appears to be the finished figure which you can check out here: Infinite Earths: Mezco Teases New One:12 Collective Batman Shots Since they've been doing regular comic versions of Superman, Flash, Green Arrow and Joker, they may do a regular comic version of Batman at some point. Like I said in my original post, NECA has been doing 7" versions of some of their 1/4 scale figures. If you think you might be interested in a 7" BvS or Batman Begins figure for around $20, then wait a couple of months and see if they announce anything for a Christmas release. For just a standard comic book Batman, the Icons version is what I recommend. The DC Icons Rebirth Batman will be out in a 7 pack next year in March if you prefer it over the pre-New 52 figure. |

I think the new mafex BVS batman is awesome
he doesn't really have any QC issues , i heard one was the lower ab joint , and that's it , comes with a ton of hands as well as accessories mafex only been around for 3 years , and i must say they ave improved this batman figure a lot , cannot wait to get some suicide squad figures, as well as justice league and wonder woman this line has improved, was worth every penny.Especially with a poseable cape. |

Personally, I have customized the Arkham Knight Batman with a different headsculpt (from a Jim Lee Batman). If you dont mind the size, the Arkham Knight Batman is imo the best recent figure out there. However, he too is away from the classic comic book feel you are asking for. In the 6-inch scale department I would agree with Trivial Psycic; the DC Superheroes Batman is your best bet but he indeed is quite expensive. Otherwise, the SH Figuarts Injustice Batman is also a very good choice (albeit again he has a more modern look). Meh, thinking back it would appear that indeed there has not been a "perfect" Batman figure out yet, which is quite sad given how much merchandise has been released for the character. |

Man, that's tough. You'd have to decide which Batman is "your" Batman. . .Bale, Batfleck, West, Keaton, Super Friends, Brave & Bold, New 52, Golden Age, . . .it goes on and on. I think I whittled my core collection down to 5. But I think I've got 2 more to add still.
My personal fave is the DC Universe Classics Dynamic Duo 2-pack Batman (it's kind of a happy medium for several different versions of Batman), or the DCSH wave 8 Batman someone mentioned earlier (but the sculpt on that one is too muscular for "my" Batman). But I'm more into the older stuff.

Clearly the best choice.
Other than that I think the new ICONS provides most of the stuff a collector would be looking for.

[QUOTE=kenm2474;683791]Here are 3 Of the more sought after DC Universe Batman Figures.
Everything I researched and my tastes suggest that this is what I want. Specifically the guy on the right. I don't want to pay 100$ on eBay for it, but I'm sure something comproable will come out |

I've got the Mafex Batman 2.0 and I'm pretty happy with it. Even got the Batpod to go with him.

I think my favorite looking batman figure is the DCC TAS batman. It's probably my favorite look for batman period. I love the grey suit, the black and yellow symbol, and I really love the blue and black cape.
My only complaint with the figure is that it doesn't come with an extra over the shoulders cape like the new adventures version. |

The new NECA Christian Bale Batman is my current favorite. It's not perfectly accurate and a number of them have messed up eyes but it's an all round great figure if you can find one.

Something about this figure strikes me as someone cosplaying as Batman. He looks overweight and weird to me.
I'm probably in the minority and use the DCUC series 1 Detective Batman or the DCSH Batman/Batgirl two pack one. I also have a DCUC series 10 Batman with a custom cape but I think Detective Batman is my go to. |

I'm probably the only person who loves the old DC direct Ed mcguinness batman...specifically the one that was rereleased with the blue and gray colors. Only thing better would be if the attire was a little less modern with the yellow oval bat symbol, pellet belt and non threaded boots.

I really like my Animated Series Batman and Mattel TDKReturns. I have them both MIB/MOC and loose. Theyre also my favorite version of the character, so its bias in that way. The NECA 7" 89 one is also nice.

Boy, with Mezco 1:12 and SH Figuarts and DC collectibles adding more to the fray, I am going to have a tough time just picking one
