Which Darth Maul 3 3/4" figure do you think is the best all-around figure?

the only figures we've played with is the 1 with the cloak and no elbow articulation which sucks and the shirtless 1 which is better than the 1st

I like the three pack Darth Maul, the one that came with Nihilus and such, personally.
It's all about the articulation. |

Which do you prefer of the shirtless one then? Three pack or single card (if there's a difference there), or the two pack one with the cloak?

So far my favorite one is the shirtless one from the Evolutions 2008 3 pack. It's the only one with ball jointed elbows. The others have swivels.

As in the other shirtless Maul's or the other Maul figures that aren't the shirtless mold?

My current favorite is the one with the magnetic waist. I just love how disturbing the Jedi and Sith can get when it comes to winning a fight.
Though I suppose if I got a version of Maul with MU-level articulation (or close to it), then it might win the top spot.

So now that The Phantom Menace VC version is out, which is better; Sith Legacy (Bane, Nihilus, Maul) 3-pack version or the new VC version?
I have both, but haven't opened the VC version yet. I was checking out my Sith Legacy version last night and it's pretty damn nice and articulated.. and he can go topless to show off his tats. What do you guys think? Can anyone who has both sell me on the VC version? I'm thinking about returning or trading it.

Hard to say. I really like the Shirtless one because he was my first epic Darth Maul figure. But I really like the VC one too, a lot.
I think I like the VC one the best, only because of it's movie accuracy. I couldn't get his lightsaber to stay into his belt though, so that annoyed me. I got the hood to fit for it would look normal too. Also would of liked a one end turned on lightsaber instead of the one that splits in two because when he holds it, it is all flimsy. But that is ok because I got 3 or so Darth Maul Lightsabers around to use haha.

I left the VC maul hanging on the pegs. I have the 3 pack version and it just looks cooler imo.

Ok, so I opened my VC Maul last night.. I love it. The ridiculously large robe looks fantastic in person. He really does look like he's straight out of a scene from Episode I. He's really no more poseable or articulated than the shirtless Evolutions version, but the headsculpt is a little nicer. The angry teeth look on the Evolutions version is awesome, but the VC has that puckered mouth, "I'm surprised to see you" look that he had in so many scenes and movie posters... and the horns look a lot better.
And that's my mini VC Maul review. I'd say it's the best version to date, but if you have the Evolutions version, you're still in good shape--they're both awesome.

It is ok! So far my stores have only really had The Clone Wars wave, bits of Return, tons of Empire Strikes Back, and now Phantom Menace.

I'm sure the Ep1 wave will be all over the place in about a month once all the scalpers get their stock and have nothing to do with them.
