Beta Ray Bill - Thor Movie Concept
Since Beta Ray Bill is an alien, I wanted to give his Storm Breaker hammer a more technological feel to it, rather than a smooth one like from the comics. I wanted it to look like Bill has constructed this using alien technology rather than it being given to him by Odin. I decided to go with the darker colours and the silvers to keep more in tone with the movie. (ive seen someone do a similar thing on google) I was in two minds whether or not to give him the short cape and in the end I decided that the red cape behind all those dark metallic colours kind of sets it off nicely. Ive made this to fit in with my Thor movie figures, but it also blends with the comic book figures pretty well too. The head is from Slayer. Work In Progress Shots

Very awesome. I really like the way you tied the color scheme in with the movie figure look.

Looks awesome! Is that an SDS head?
Treally great...now I gotta check the upcomind pics of MU Bill- I'm certain he's only got three fingers per hand (not that you're looks bad or anything- he's just a bit less humanoid in the comics). |

thanks alot chaps. im glad you have enjoyed looking at him.
Zictor thats an awesome compliment! im glad you like him! but i am no pro, you want to check out jin santome (i think thats how you spell it) or riverspoons customs, they will be some of the best customs you have seen i guarantee you! cheers buddy! p.s. i will email you and give you a few pointers if you like? Jason yeh it is a Slayer head. I actually purchased this head way before hasbro showed us their Bill, but i always intended to make a movie concept anyway. the head asculpt of bill is awesome. dare i say i like it even more than the head on the hasbro one yet to be released. although that figure looks awesome, ill def be picking it up! and yeh bill does have 3 fingers in the comics. i was aware of this when making the custom, it wasnt just me being lazy haha. and I thought i would just leave him with normal hands to give him like you say; a more "humanoid" appearance. thanks to everyone else who likes him too!

can you see the WIP? the legs arent MU. they are from a 90s aliens corporal hicks figure. i had to saw them apart and reangle them so one leg wasnt far infront of the other. i wanted him standing square on. from the bottom of his feet to the tip of his helmet wings, he is 5 inches exactly. will that do? LOL thanks lads!
