This was a commission figure made for Nort. Had quite a few requests recently. A few quick repaints and among those Nort requested a Black Knight. And had a head cast to boot. The only thing I had ever been lacking to make one myself. If you're not familiar with this variation of the character, check out Captain Britain and MI13 which ran during the Secret Invasion storyarc. The sword didn't match the Ebony Blade, but neither of us had one and he really wanted to go with this one regardless.
I put a black gloss over the blade to give it more of a shine. I put a black gloss with chrome yellow over the helmet to give it the same shine. From there, the creation process was basically the same as my Jason Todd, but with a few slight differences. The strap was initially offsetting the jacket, so I cut it and glued it to the chest so it would sit better. And to finish it off I did some drybrushing for the jeans which is getting better which each figure I make. Recipe: Head - SDS Cast Body - WO Comic Logan Arms - WO Movie Jacket Logan Lower Legs - 25h Cobra Trooper (I think?) Sword - SDS Cast Hands - ? Jacket - WO Sabretooth/Logan Two Pack |

Well, this one was a commission, and I don't have the stuff to make another sadly.
Ah, awesome, thanks. I couldn't figure that out for sure. And I didn't know there was a torso for him. I've wanted the head for a while so I could make one, so I was real excited when I got a request with parts included. |

Looks awesome! I went with the classic BK look but yours looks perfect to the comics image there! Bravo!
Can you post a pic of that sword for me? I went with a pared-down excalibur, but it's I'm not too happy with it. Black Knight by Jason Abbadon - Toy Discussion at Toyark.com Also, give Testor's metallic gold a try- looks great on Dane's helmet! And...os Slayer still around? It seems they keep scaling bcak their offerings (sadly, as their stuff rocked!). |

Yeah, I'll get a picture tomorrow and send it to you. Got another cast around here somewhere.
And I love that gold you used. Looks great. I was gonna use a clear yellow over steel, but I had just gotten a chrome yellow and really wanted to try it out. What I really need is a new flesh tone. This is light. I need something more medium. And honestly, I have no clue about Slayer anymore. I've heard yes and no, yes and no, yes and no, so I just can't keep up. I picked up a whole lot a while ago, then started having issues with them sending my stuff, so I just quit looking. There's about half a dozen different cast sites right now though. |

We need to make a list- I get stuff from Onyxphionex and the parts are really top notch- great sculpts and no pinholes or bubbles.
Our fellow Arker Vortious just started up his own line of great parts too- trenchcoat/sleeved arms sets and a Iron Man with flip up visor (which I need to get!). Glassman makes a fantastic Dum Dum and Tony Stark heads- really fast shipping too! You got any reccomendations for cool headsculpts for sale? |

Raginspoon's Custom Cast Parts and Figures - Home
Great stuff, good turn around time. More Joe stuff than specific MU, but some great parts all the same. Slayer is supposed to be coming back any time now. The hiatus has just been running longer than they expected so I have no idea how much of there stuff will be back once its up. |

I loved their selections, but I don't like buying a whole bunch of parts unless I have ideas for them. I'd love to do a fodder box and get them on the list though. lol That's how I got most of my Slayer stuff after I quit buying from them. Hmm...Stocos on Hisstank has EBay listings running for his cast female parts. He should start his own store. Female parts sell great since our general selection is so limited. I typically shop from HunterArtworks. Haven't in a while though. He was always cheaper than everyone else and his shipping time was really fast. Not to mention he had a lot of different hammers up including Beta Ray Bill, Ultimate Thor, and Thunderstrike. And his Ultimate Thor hammer was way better than the terrible oversized Avengers released one. Thanks mate! Quote:

The hiatus has just been running longer than they expected so I have no idea how much of there stuff will be back once its up. About a month or so ago Slayer said he sold the business. Then a week later said he was reopening soon and that he didn't sell it. So I don't know anymore. It goes back and forth over whether it'll be preorder again or if it will be a smaller listing. But the turnaround there is horribly slow. I waited a year for an Iron Fist head, and Nort is still waiting on probably upwards of $100 of stuff still with no responses. And both of us still have stuff from like 3 years ago that we still never got. There product is fantastic, but just not worth it to me. Especially not with so many new guys popping up. |

if you're looking for weapons, Marauder "Gun-Runners" Home Page
GREAT products, super cheep, fast and cheep shipping. They also occasionally throw in freebees. |

Yeah, true, there is Marauder. They're real good if you're looking for diorama pieces and most especially military type stuff. But not much outside of that. Prices are definitely cheap though. I've bought from them a few times before. Bought a few items, got a whole bag full. lol

true, but the MU toys have the crappiest bendable guns ever. I got my comic pack Bullseye all armed up with marauders stuff. Plus, their breaf cases (like the nuke one) are really sweet.
