That revelation hit me like a ton of bricks when I first realized the likelihood of getting a 6" Mara Jade is practically nil.
She is number one at the top of my wish list, with Grand Admiral Thrawn (who I know has no chance EVER of getting a 6" Black figure) at number two.

I know that I am in the minority, and will probably be lambasted for this, but for me, Lando screams peg warmer. I keep hearing about this character and that character deserving a figure, but honestly, the only figure that is sure fire needed for the Black Series at this point is C-3PO. The fact that he has gone this long without being made has me scratching my head.
Not saying that Lando is a terrible character, he's not, but is he an A-list character that needs to be made? I personally don't think so. He would be right up there with Bossk or IG88, cool character no doubt, but kinda second tier when placed in the company of Windu, Jango, Padme, Grevious, old Kenobi, Dooku, 3-PO, and yes...Ahsoka, all characters I'd rather see first. Truthfully, if we want to see some of these characters in the future, then Hasbro needs to start increasing the size of waves from 4 figures to 6 or 8 a wave, and scale back on feeling the need to offer one or two repacked or repainted clone or stormtroopers in every wave. well said. We are of like minds. |

I still don't think grievous would need to be a deluxe figure, besides why would you want him to be it would really just cost more.
At the end of the second to last season Ahsoka left the Jedi order so there would be no troopers around her to have executed the order. Thinking about it now though, she probably has to die or something before Rebels is all said and done. We don't hear about any Jedi doing anything during A New Hope so either she ends up dying or being removed from the equation by the OT. Oh OK. Cool. Thanks. I haven't finished the Clone Wars and haven't started Rebels. I don't care about spoilers though lol. Still this figure looks good but I wanted some other ones first. A New Hope Leia, Grievous, C-3PO, Mothaf****n Mace Windu, and an Episode 3 Yoda. |

I'm not so sure that Hasbro would do a PT Yoda, they might be of the opinion that it wouldn't be worth their time to really just make a new robe. As seen in Tony_Bacala's pictoral review for the Ark you can kinda already make him PT-ish.

Well since you don't care about spoilers I think it's only fair to let you know that Darth Vader is actually Luke's dad and Leia and Luke are siblings.

Maybe one day they'll make a multipack with the fan favorite non-canon characters, maybe. Just like Mara Jade, Thrawn, and Kyle Katarn or whatever. It's not likely and I doubt it very much, especially considering Disney's want to abandon all things not theirs in Star Wars, but just maybe.
Pigs will fly, Hell will freeze over, and EA will be voted best company in the world before that ever happens. Still, a guy can hope. Ha! |

Well we've got trebuchets and catapults to get those bacon-factories flyin' and I am pretty sure that Hell, Michigan freezes regularly in winter, but I don't see EA ever getting any awards for good work so I guess it is a long shot to hope for any o' this.

I've wanted an Ahsoka figure of such quality forever, man.
Beautiful sculpt, and she seems to suit the more realistic style of the Black line very well without losing her defining physical traits. |

Dash Rendar was in those comics and games so I'm sure there's at least one other person with you on that boat. Just think of the pure horror though, we'll probably get a 6" Jar Jar Binks before any of these much better EU/legends characters. If I ever see a 6" Jar Jar toy I'm gonna put it on the bottom most shelf far away from the other figures so he can't stain their legacy any more.
Well, I'm sure someone will make a youtube video of at least one Jar Jar getting melted down while the rest of the Black Series figures watch. That would make it all worthwhile. Ha! So you're the other one! Man, we need, like, a special handshake or a club ring or something. |

Obviously not since we got Darth Maul before Darth Vader and Prequel Obi Wan before Old Man Ben, they're also still making clone troopers and Commander Cody in the 6" line so they aren't doing shit to alienate the prequel movies from their current stuff. Though it's not all bad in the PT so I don't think they should completely cut it off but favoritism towards the OT would be nice from Hasbro's part. I'd like a Mace Windu though.

I guess this figure makes up for the fact that the VOTC Ahsoka was scarce. That was the best Ahsoka figure and most who wanted iirc were never able to find it. Then again I think this figure is primarily being made because of her heightened recognition thanks to showing up in Rebels.
No doubt other characters who've been a long time coming for SWBS will show up, maybe even before Ahsoka. However I think Hasbro chose her to show off at Celebration as it's a SWBS 6" figure most of us(I think) weren't expecting. They're probably going for the "OH SHI*" reactions whereas a reveal like ANH Obi Wan would be kind of expected(this isn't to say we don't need one, WE DO!).

Ah, man... that's depressing. I hadn't even thought about that, but it is quite likely, isn't it? Damn.

I don't collect this series but love the look and have the CLone Wars figure, I was wondering after they said rebels was going to be after clone wars is they were going to show what she did after she left.
Also, even if she didn't get killed at some point by the squads hunting Jedi, she could have just never came back to any of the worlds that were in the old stuff, so it explains that right away if you want to over analyze it. If Luke wouldn't have went to Dagobah the audience wouldn't have known Yoda was there, so Ashoka could be on some dirtball somewhere being smart to stay away from getting killed. |

I haven't really delved into this line, but I know I'll have to pick up this Ahsoka. Nice figure.

"Dash Rendar?" Never heard of him. Must be some fringe character.

Dude i been hoping for a new updated bmf-esque retooling of the outrider with an articulated dash and leebo so i feel your pain. At least shadows isnt erased like every book, comic and tv show set after return. At least my consolation is that my favorite prequel jedi character, asharad hett, isnt evil sith bastard anymore.
Revan, Bastila and Dash Rendar may be my top 3 most wanted 6" figures. Starkiller (with a decent Sam Witwer head sculpt for once, please) would probably be #4. #5 is reserved for a Republic Commando box set with Sev and the rest. NONE of them are likely to happen, because technically none of them are canon characters anymore. Boo. Ahsoka was #6, though, so at least that's happening. |
