There was a Luke Cage variant announced way back when this Black Widow variant was first announced, over a year ago. He's the same figure just with a white tank top.
This variant Black Widow head was actually originally supposed to be included as an accessory but Hasbro changed their minds and decided to release it as a straight up variant. |

Ummm I thought we've all seen these pictures already.
It's not new to me. Wake me up when they start showing up at stores. Last edited by Autobot_Goldbug; 10-18-2011 at 10:40 PM.. |

That Cage variant looks like a bald Lenny Kravitz.
I could see them releasing Yelena though- she's getting some exposure in the MU next month. Really though, the head is all I want for customs- That looks "classic Sue Storm" to me! Maybe even as a good Songbird. |

It's cool, I got the regular version and IMO she looks better. I remember hearing bout this along with the Luke cage variant tee figure. they're like.... a step above different names on bases but not that big a step.

Gotta great NIck Fury after your own great custom- mine is post-SHIELD Secret Warriors version.
I'm about ready to paint up u Guardiand Of The Galaxy mantis nad I just got the new Duke (amazing sculpt) to be my modern Captain Britan head. Tomorrow I combine a ROC Cobra Fang Ninja and a Hydra soldier (skullcap version) to hopefully make a certain purple-cad Hero For Hire! Oh...and I'm re-reading the incredible war of Kings just now, so I was thinking of taking Red Guardian's head (cut that fin off) on a Jim Lee Cyclops body to make Black Bolt! And then I want to mkae Smasher, Mnata and Pulsar to gith my Imperial Guard! Maybe make Gladiator in his funeral garb too... Not enough hours in the day to do everything! |

Man those are some great ideas. I want to start Avengers 1959 soon. I cannot wait to see Mantis, oh my god I'm stoked. However, I am sad that you have to sacrifice your Red Guardian figure. I have been wanting one for awhile but we don't have K-Marts up north.

Awww.that sucks. He's a good figure too...I just could care less about the character- tere's been like five Red Guardians so far!
It's either Black Bolt or a Kree badass named Bel Dann (shown in an FF annual). I'm kinda torn between the two- they're certain to make Black Bolt eventually with Medusa nad Karnak coming out- and I forsee a box set with BB, Medusa, Karnak and (hopefully) Lockjaw as the static piece! |

Yep I was thinking the same thing and either way I prefer the old head anyway.

It would make sense for them to make a shot hair variant eventually.
