Got me some balsa wood and foamcore at the craft store and started dinking around with it. Here's m first completed items.
Wooden pallets. One with a broken board for kicks. Oh, and then a burnt out crate. That was a complete mistake that almost burned my house down. |

they're really easy to make too! I shrunk down some measurements from a real pallet and approximated them at 1:18, then it's just a matter of cutting 3 long boards and 10 shorter ones.

Very cool, the scale is perfect and they look as though they are mass produced pieces. Excellent job man! Have you thought about making some to sell? If so let me know and im sure others around here would buy them as long as the prices are reasonable.

if there's demand for some, I'd definitely consider making some.

There is a demand for stuff in this scale. And trust me, you did a great job. You're burnt out crate though, should stay unique..... your house would appreciate your cooperation.

I'm taking em out in the driveway with a lighter next time. I was doing it over my gas stove which burns to hot so instead of singeing...
Anyway. I made a few more of these tonight while I was watching Big Bang theory. Used up the rest of my glue, and once I get some more I'll make another stack. I don't know how much I ought to charge for these, but once I figure out a fair price I'll put up a thread in BST with inventory and photos. |
