I'm looking forward to seeing what they produce for this movie, the figures for the LOTR movies were pretty good quality in places.

But I'm hopeful that the line will be good, for the sake of LOTR collectors. I will probably pass on it regardless. Don't need another toy line to collect right now. Quote:
And Joe FP'd it this morning, so I merged the threads.

Sorry, didn't see it. If you're posting news in somewhere other than the news forum, it will likely get missed. If you're unsure if it will be frontpaged, we will make the decision and move it to another forum if it's not going up.

Just because they got their start doing one type of toys, does not in any way mean they can't or won't bring in new designers when they expand into other genre.
I will not judge them negatively for picking up LotR, just because they produce Zhuzhu pets. Sure, I would have preferred Hasbro having picked up the Voltron Lisence... I mean Mattel has never really done transforming robots... but their take on the two Voltrons is decent enough. And Hasbro had a terrible history with superhero actionfigures, until they aquired the Mavel Lisence. There's no reason to get upset, worried, or paniced over this announcement until we actually see real product. I hope they convert feet to inches. A 3' character is 3", a 4' character is 4", a 6' character is 6". This is a completely different company than the LotR line. That was Playmates (Or was it Hasbro?).
