I also have a customs thread here: http://www.toyark.com/primacrons-lit...customs-73245/
Having recently finished collecting all the g1 Transformers I want it seems like a good time to post some pictures of my collection. I started off with g1 - particularly animal transformers and the reissues, then got tempted by Classics, then into other lines such as Marvel Universe and more or less updated versions of everything I wanted as a kid. I haven't got most of my reissues on display anymore, but here's a few pictures from about 4 years ago when I did. This when I was a carefree bachelor and had more space than I knew what to do with! I also have quite alot of Star Wars Transformers which are also in storage now. Last edited by Primacron; 01-23-2014 at 02:48 PM.. |

Love. It. Especially the last picture with Stay Puft and Fort Max. And EDS. I use to work for them.

Having got the original g1 versions of most of the 1984-86 Transformers, I started collecting Classics which were mostly updated versions of the same bots. I wanted to find a good way to display my Classics and animal based g1.
Reading the Dreamwave comics, I realised that because the Autobots outnumbered the Decepticons, they had utilised several of the later Decepticons (1987 onwards), which just so happened to mostly be animal transformers, and so I hit upon the idea of displaying by the factions in the later War Within comics, I also got inspiration from the ongoing regular Dreamwave as well as some of the stuff going on in the IDW comics. I've also displayed my Marvel Universe in the same way so here goes......... (Sorry for all the waffling!!!) This is my toy cupboard, the small beacon of geekiness in an otherwise grown-up apartment. The first 'faction' is the clones as seen in #1 of the Dreamwave ongoing. Sunstorm is a custom effort and Unicron, well....., he just doesn't really fit in anywhere else!
Second faction is the Wreckers (and a bit of Team Dion) and the X-men. Countdown is a honoury member since he and Roadbuster are both Cybertron Defense Team molds, Swindle is playing the role of Sandstorm. |

Next up is Hot Rod's 'Resistance' (from volume 2 of the g1 Dreamwave stuff) and Ratbat's Ultracons. Doubledealer is on Hot Rod's team ala IDW.
I like the idea that the other post Movie cassettes would follow Ratbat rather than Shockwave so Overkill, Slugfest, Squawktalk and Beastbox are with him. Last edited by Primacron; 01-15-2011 at 12:24 PM.. |

When I was putting my Marvel Universe figures into factions I ended up with loads of villains who didn't really fit in, but then had the idea of putting them in order of how 'villainous' they were. Having read the descriptions of a few of them on Wiki, I noticed the entry often includes a mention of where they come in IGN's top villains and so I display them that way!
It goes from right to left, front to back. Galactus is fourth! (The bars they're standing on are metal and so they're all held in place by minimags.) The next faction is Shockwave's Decepticons, I know Drift is an Autobot but since this is a War Within display it makes more sense for him to be with the Decepticons since he used to be Deadlock. The brotherhood mutants who aren't in the top villains will go here (if I can squeeze them in) so Blob is lurking under Galactus. Final picture is WST Megatron and Shockwave. This is Starscream's Predacon faction, I've put the actual Predacons with them as well, since well, that kinda makes sense. Since Hun-Gurr is a member, I figure Snaptrap would be as well. All animal combiners together!
Spiderman's villains who aren't in IGN's top 100 will fit in here, but at the moment it's just Rhino (he's hiding under Bruticus). FansProject's Bruticus is awesome by the way, I highly recommended if you don't have it! Next is Grimlock's Lightning Strike Coalition and the Defenders (come on Doctor Strange). And a little bit of MI13, I only get characters get characters I know so haven't got Union Jack. When I started collecting, it was going to be just to get the Dinobots that I didn't have as a kid (Snarl and Swoop). That didn't last long..... |

The goody goodies! Prowl's Autobots, Avengers, SHIELD, Fantastic 4 and Batman.
I've got Alternator Jazz standing in for Generations Jazz until I get him, Nick Fury is a custom (obviously). |

It's mostly factions I've made up now........ (Hidden in a wardrobe.)
One faction is the 'Masters' - an alliance between Scorponok and Overlord. Their foot soldiers are Darkwing and Dreadwind, as well as Apeface, Snapdragon, Triggerhappy and Misfire but there's only room for their 'master partners. I've got a few Beast Wars figures but can only display a few as the 'Neo Predacons'. Cybertron Scourge is an honoury member. Fortress Maximus, Inferno, Skids, Hoist and Red Alert are the peaceful 'High Council' (from the regular g1 Dreamwave volume 2). Perceptor and Grapple will also join them when they're released. If (when?) we get the remaining members of the Marvel Illuminati I think I'll display them together, as in my mind the High Council are secretly controlling things...... Finally there is also the Chaos Trinity with Deszaras taking Bugly's place (he was possibly summoned up by some dodgy ritual). I've given Bludgeon a custom head. Oh and the Turtles. I guess they can be their own faction. Last edited by Primacron; 01-15-2011 at 12:26 PM.. |

My final faction is IDW inspired (hidden in a little cupboard) - the Dead Universe. Scourge will fit right in when he's released, as will Thunderwing as the third guardian of a Nega-Core with Monstructor and Sixshot.
I deliberately haven't got Optimus Prime or Megatron on display (other than the WST versions), because I'm just a bit bored with them (the characters). Maybe they'll make a comback at some point! That's the lot, I'm really looking forward to the next lot of Generations (Reveal the Shield) figures and have got places reserved for most of them. Plus there are quite a lot of awesome looking third party efforts on the way (Hearts of Steel Shockwave and Insecticons particularly), plus some great looking Marvel Universe. It's a great time to be a collector! Last edited by Primacron; 01-15-2011 at 12:14 PM.. |

Decided my shelves were too packed so have packed away most of my Transformers, decided to take the opportunity to display my Marvel Universe and WST properly.
Non villains Marvel Universe: X-men and Fantastic 4 (Invisible Woman is still in BBTS pile of loot): Defenders and Wolverine associates: The Avengers: Token bit of Transformers (1984 Autobot Classics): Call of the Primatives - Trypticon and the Predacons versus Sky Lynx and the Dinobots (the Predacons are kabaya figures which sadly lacked any front legs, not quite sure what I'm going to do yet): Axis of evil (according to IGN's top 100 villains), since Mattel gave up on Infinite Heroes I've opted for DCU for Batman's villains: Metroplex (with custom parts), Omega Supreme and the WST Autobots take on the WST Decepticons:

So I'm a huge fan of WST Transformers and after seeing PrimulArchangel's work on this site (he's a member here:Toyark Toy Forums - View Profile: PrimulArchangel), I decided to get some custom boxes made. He did a fantastic job so I thought I would give a shout out to him. Highly recommended!
(Gotta love that vintage 80's artwork!)

Great way to display your Transformers. Did you say all of the G1 bots were reissues? I also love the world's smallest guys. They look amazing with the big guys Like Metroplex. That's a lot of money to drop just in bots. I'm glad you also go into MU and mix them in your collection/dios. Thanks for sharing your pics.

It does represent over 8 years of collecting! Generally I bought reissues, then bought vintage Transformers to fill in the gaps, for the most part the 1984/5 bots are reissues and the rest are vintage. God Ginrai is the PM Prime from my childhood with a reissue Godbomber upgrade so is a bit of both!

I also seem to recall somebody made a few custom sets for Wonderfest which looked really good (not kabaya), but they'd set you back a fair bit, if you could even find them.

I've moved house since I last posted some pictures so have got a more space to play with, unfortunately I've bought quite a lot more stuff so still not enough room to display things at their best:
