I'm reading now the boxes read May 16th. I don't know what day that is. If I had a dpci I could probably check it at Target today.

May 16th makes sense. Means that Transformers 3 and Cap stuff will be launching the same day.
I'd imagine most retailers will do a big toy aisle reset that week that will include Transformers 3, Captain America, and Green Lantern stuff. (Though if they're like my local stores they won't do the reset until like a week after the release date). |

Went to my local target today and read them the dcpi for the captain america guys and they said that they couldnt bring it up cause of the street date of may 15th...so i Called a target on the other side of town and read them the dcpi number and they checked on their computer and said that they had 12 units available and that when i come in they will bring the case up to the service desk. And i said ok....so i went in and they brought it up from the back room and i got winter soilder and two battle field caps from the comic series. Then went to a walmart and found the newest wave of gijoe..got a little lucky today but no luck on the newest marvel universe guys...but ill keep trying.

well, it's definitely safe to say these are rolling in. Ebay's quantity grows by the day, folks on here are spotting them, pretty soon we'll laugh about how we were jonesing to get our hands on these!

I guess these dudes were waiting outside the store because it's your TRU usual truck day? The TRU employees just happen to put out your Cap stuff too early and the regulars made off with them. Makes sense.

Well I tried the DCPI trick & it almost worked.
Floor girl asked backroom girl to bring them out. Unfortunately backroom girl wondered why they weren't on the floor yet. Then she found the date on the box. They were pretty surprised that toys would be dated. I didn't want to argue. They usually get stuff for me from the backroom like new MU figures. It's too bad they didn't have more of those back there. At least I know they will have them. |

I gotta ask the guy at my TRU if he can check if they already have em in the back. He was kind enough to tell me the streeet date for the GL stuff a couple weeks before it hits...
After I relinquished a Tasky/Deadpool comic pack to him. I wonder what I'd have to give to him this time... |

LMAO @ the @ssholes trying to sell these suckers for $30 a pop on ebay. They're collecting about as much dust on that website as IM2s at Target.

I guess meijer doesn't pay attention to release dates, I just stop by meijer on my way to work and they had there cap stuff out. I also picked up the mu giant size x-men box set at toysrus so this was a pretty good morning. I live in the Cincinnati area of Ohio.

I just picked up the WW2 Cap and the Winter soldier earlier today, and I have to say, they are some of the best figs I've seen yet. The Winter Soldier in particular is evrrything i'd hope for, with the exception of the weird glider thing he came with (easy to fix, dont put it on) So far, so good with this line.

Wish they'd have single figures on order from HTS. I'm only looking for mainly crossbones as probably everyone else is. Thanks for the heads up though.
Where did you pick these up Cain? |

Saw all of wave 1 last night and only picked up WW2 Cap. Excellent figure overall. Really good articulation, shield is awesome, weapons are a soft plastic (a little weird, but ok), helmet is removeable and shield can be stored on his back or on his arm.
And I've got two word for you Shin: rocker ankles! My only complaint would be the sculpt looks a little thin near the elbow and knee joints, but I know that's to accommodate the articulation. The elbow joint practically acts like a double-joint just due to the sculpt. Wasn't too keen on the other Caps (less articulation than WW2), but I think I might go back and pick up that Winter Soldier.

Toy r Us, It was fully stocked too, like they arrived minutes before I did. It's a TRU that I never go to because it's far as hell, but lucked out.
