Who do I talk to about broken NECA figures? I had a Christopher Reeve Superman and a Jaeger break right out of the package and I would like to see about getting them replaced.
I love their stuff but I am always so worried they will break, so I hardly ever touch them.... |

Great stuff, thanks! My introduction to NECA came within the last couple of years as I've focused on Iron Man products. I've picked up NECA's 1/4 scale Midas, Mark 7, and Mark 7 battle damage. Looking forward to their 1/4 scale Mark 43, which I believe is scheduled for release this month.
Keeping up with the TF Masterpiece line and the never-ending Hot Toys Iron Man suits consumes all my hobby/collectible funds, so I'm nearly exclusive to those lines... but I couldn't pass up the imposing size and beautiful packaging of the NECA products. Bravo to Toyark--I don't get online a ton these days, but when I do I always end up here for a while to catch up. And I think IshTalkers was just a bit ahead of its time... it was very forward-thinking. |

Interesting, especially the Shaw Bros stuff. One point of information: The Shaw Brothers were responsible for "iconic Chinese Kung-fu" cinema, not Japanese. I've been a considerable Shaw Bros fan since childhood and I'd wondered what happened to the announced figs. I'm still interested to find out about the particulars of why the figs were never brought to market.

I believe there was a general lack of retailer interest at the time. In 2008, the online toy market probably wasn't enough to sustain it's own dedicated sales. So NECA and others required (and still do) brick and mortar retailers to pick up their releases. I can see why these weren't put out. I can't really picture these on shelves at Toys "R" Us. These days, though, something like that may have a better chance, with dedicated pop culture stores now a thing (look at the new FYE stores).

These unreleased figures are all heart breaks. The rocky horror figures hurt the most. Can you ask Randy if anything has changed for them....funko just released reaction figures of rocky horror. Perhaps Neca can explore again?
The ring would have been awesome,9 would have been great to complete. I do have the zombie Ed figure,my opinion is that I like it enough to put with the feast of my cult classics. |

Thanks for the clarification, updated.

Too bad about the Shaw Brothers. That would have been a great line for printable backgrounds.

This is the golden article so far for ToyArk's Week of NECA. I've always wondered about unreleased figures they have done. The big shocker for me here was finding out about the Shaw Brothers figures. As a big fan of old-school Hong Kong Kung-Fu movies, those would have been a must-buy for me. Big letdown that they never came to be.
Any chance you guys can get some info/photos on the unreleased Bioshock Infinite stuff? I heard there was a figure to two that never made it out from that line. |

^^ How could I neglect to mention the sets and locales they used...you are right, Shaw Bro stills would make for excellent printable backgrounds.

I think the only thing that wasn't at any convention to my recollection was the Handyman which was instead seen in the background of other teases for other lines but already cancelled at that point. I don't think any convention-shown or solicited Bioshock Infinite figures were cancelled.

I do believe Will has been credited by NECA on multiple occasions, including having his name on both Jason boxes.

This is true, yes. But I don't think a lot of people are really familiar with the story behind the line. Not that it's this long, detailed, epic story or anything...

Wow, would have definitely bought some of a Shaw Bros line, especially if NECA was doing them.
Also makes me want One Arm Boxer and Master of the flying guillotine figures. And Man with the Iron Fist figures too. |

I liked the look and style of it. The designs were really cool. And honestly, it's a bad movie that's just fun to watch.

My first NECA figure was the water emergence Predator from the 25th anniversary series part 2 with wave 9 of the overall series. Then I got all of wave 10 and was hooked onto them so much that I wanted more stuff from NECA including their offering for games and other films. Now I have about 76 NECA toys with multiple shelves devoted just for them and I damn well know I'll be expanding for more as the new year rolls on. I also love that Randy and the team like a lot of the same rock and metal as I do, it's a nice thing to know that there's a shared appreciation between movies and music.
Then of course I got into the Aliens line, Robocop, and now maybe Terminator |
