I can't say anything really, really stood out for me. I did like the new Masters of the Universe Classics figures coming out. So I guess that would be Best News for me.
No Shows(at least in the pics department....come on Toyark, take more statue pics) = no statue coverage. lol

Best (it's a three way tie for me)
Scareglow MOTUC (I don't even collect this line!) GI Joe Mini Playsets Iron Man 2 3 3/4" figures (especially the Mark I ) No Show, I'd have to say the MU fan choice figures |

BEST- MOTU CLASSICS, DCUC CLASSICS
WORST- bonus figures not included in Matty MOTU subscriptions. DCUC PUBLIC ENEMIES, ATTITUBES, DCUC repaints (Catwoman, Twoface) |

Best in show: Marvel Universe by far. A lot of the stuff really impressed the hell out of me. Really excited for Juggernaut.
DCIH - lame. Really unimpressed with what is coming out. I think 2010 will once again belong to Hasbro when it comes to the 3.75" lines. Last edited by pud333; 07-27-2009 at 10:50 PM.. |

Best: All the MU offerings and Sublines, the MOTUC figures, and Olivia Munn's costume changes. Also transformers animated, and Galactus!
Worst: No photos of the Smallville superman suit, No announcement about the GL movie promotion like they had for wonder woman, only one new DCIH figure, No MU X-23, Nova Prime, and Darkhawk. No transformers animated omega supreme. No top 7 news, and no shots of the massive anti-monitor. T_T |

I loved seeing Hasbro doing more G1 with Perceptor and the Insecticons. I loved that Marvel 2 pack with that awesome Hulk sculpt and Cyc. It was definitely cool to hear and see news from Iron Man 2, LOST, Heroes, Eureka, and Warehouse 13. That Lion-O statue was really amazing. The 19" Galactus made my pants tight. And the shots of Battle Cat was really awesome.
With all of the SW news, I was really hoping to see rehashes of other older vehicles, and not the interceptor. I mean come on, we've got what, 3-4 of them now. I was disappointed in not seeing any news at all on TMNT. Or if they had it, it was very low key for me to miss it. No news on the supposed live-action movie for it too. As much as I loved the Hulk-Cyc 2pack, I really don't like the cyc mold and I hate that I know I will be conflicted getting it now for that very reason. I hate how there are so many awesome things coming out, that I know I won't be able to afford everything. |

Best: MU and related lines (Galactus). MOTUC very very close second. Ghostbusters!!! (finally)
Worst: The realization that not all of the ML will get made. Ugly Avatar figures (Nice vehicles though!) |

BEST: Marvel Universe and Iron Man 2.
WORST: Realizing I probably won't have enough money to buy everything I want from the show. NO SHOW: No mention of the other two Fan Choice picks (making us guess at toys in the display doesn't count).

BEST: 3-3/4" Iron Man 2 Movie and Comic Figures. So long as the plastic quality does not feel cheap like on the Wolverine Origins line, and maintains the strong paint apps shown on the prototypes at SDCC(metallic like the 6" figures), this line has the potential to do very, very well with not just kids, but collectors. I'm crossing my fingers on the plastic quality, so long as it feels more like Marvel universe than XMO Wolverine, we should be fine. The best followup would be the new hip articulation on the DCIH figures, it's ABOUT TIME!
Worst: The fact that only 6 of the Marvel Legends figure shown at SDCC will be made, 3 dependent on the fan's choice poll, the other 3 up to Hasbro. If Warpath or Wolverine is made, the counterpart is more than likely to be one or the other, since it's a good way to bring the modern X-Force team members into the ML line. I have a feeling Deadpool is pretty much set in stone, come on who DIDN'T vote for him? The no-shows are the 1/55 VF-1 Valkyries by Tamashii/Toynami that ARE STILL DELAYED SINCE LAST YEAR REALLY WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS? Still no confirmed Macross Frontier announcement for US distribution via Tamashii/Toynami partnership. Other notable no-shows are the rumored XMO Wolverine movie figures that we have yet to see. Also, I have a feeling a lot of what Hasbro is pulling out for G.I. Joe was held back for Joecon. I also wish the new TF Animated and ROTF toys shown in the TF panel would have been put on display in the cases. IRONHIDE LOOKS AWESOME! Last edited by Shin Densetsu; 07-28-2009 at 02:32 PM.. |
