Everything MU. Punisher, Daredevil, Bullseye, Adam Warlock, Puck, Hulk, Sinister, Beast, list goes on. Even though there was no Ares, I am excited for it all. I was kind of underwhelmed with the Legends though, honestly it looked like Mattel did them, but I will still pick them up, that's fersure.

All MU looks incredible!!!! I'm super psyched to FINALLY be getting a great Punisher, Daredevil and Bullseye figures. I'm really looking forward to all the new figures coming out, but I'm beyond happy that they're going back and correcting the first few series' figures that weren't done right. Oh, and that Future Foundation Spidey is so dope.
As far as Marvel Legends, I'm glad that they're getting some love again, but that ship has sailed for me. I'll definitely get some figures, like Bucky Cap and Madame Hydra, but I won't be collecting the entire line. And once again, the Spidey figure has so much potential (Big Time Spidey). I love that costume. |

There's almost 2 much stuff to keep track off to be honest, and from someone who has yet to see anything new then th WWH wave, I'd love to see some new merch.
1) 3 way tie between Gambit/Jubilee/Sinister *due to being tops on my fav characters list and they help complete the xmen universe. 2) 2 way tie between beast/hulk *due to scale and sculpt and paint detail 3) fing fang foom *I seen this wave when it was in ML and passed on it... kicking myself now, but it's a chance for me to own 1, mind you the BAF version looks Better IMO. I'm pumped to see the return of ML, not crazy about all the characters and the baf's but some nice toys. I would love to get myself the Iron man, Thor, and Cap figures for sure, especially when the newest wave to hit has a mini version of Steve Rogers.. I love having identical figures in different scales to me just looks cool, ex I have nightcrawler in 3 3/4'' scale, 6'' scale and 12'' scale. I want everything though for the most part, I also want the new thor, cap merchandise and I want to see the other line of Iron man 6'' figures. 2 much merchandise to keep me down, but sadly a lot of stuff to try and obtain, which is gonna hurt the wallet. |

Nothing too specific I'm excited about, but I'm really looking forward to the new joints on MU. The basic female body seems to have corrected the shoulder rotation, and the new hips are gonna make display posing so much easier.
Also, unmasked Tony Stark Extremis. |

Excited most for...
1. All MOTUC. Yet again this year, it solidified itself as probably the best action figure line on the market. Specifically stoked for Demo-Man, Sorceress, Shadow Weaver, and 200X Evil Lyn. 2. MU Hulk. Finally. Other notables- Beast, Psylocke, Sinister, Ant-Man, and the high hopes of scoring SDCC Sentinels at HTS in the next day or so (crossed fingered knock on wood). Addendum* Shulk's a bit toplight but is def on the must list. Scarlet Witch is also on the list even though they've changed the fem buck. And from reading through your responses, I need to find the pics of Puck and Jubilee!

I'm really excited about the Marvel Lego. Hopefully we'll get a chance to buy the mini-figs without buying the massive sets.
And as an ardent fan of MU 2012 is going to be a big one. Aside from the general excitment of such a slew of new figures and revisions i'm really excited by the effort and detail given to the new figures. The sculpts of the FF Spidey and Scarlet Witch are amazing, as are the Beast (articulated toes for goodness sake!) and Hulk toys. Couple that with revisions of must-have figures like Punisher and Daredevil and we're in for an exciting ride! |

Toyfair!?
Oh........ 1. Beast, we finally have all 5 original X-men. 2. Mister Sinister, for me, the most notably missing X-men villain in the line-up so far. 3. Fin Fang Foom, who doesn't like dragons? Please Hasbro, for the love of god, make the red version the SDCC version and the green the regular retail release. $120 is ridiculous for something that should cost half that.

I'm extremely excited about the upcoming 12 months. They are giving me, out of my top 10, my #2-#6 most wanted figure. (Argh, no Rogue though!) really can't complain though.
so I guess my top three upcoming figures would be my number 2, 3, and 4 pre-convention most wanted figures - Scarlet Witch, Mister Sinister and Kang. |

It would be easier to list what I'm not excited about this year.
I'm pretty pumped for: 1) MU (duh!): Not only are they giving us some much needed characters, as someone mentioned earlier it's great that they're going back and updating some of the earlier figures (DD looks sick!). 2) All of the giant toys I'm buying! A 21" Stay Puft, 18" Sentinel, and a 23" Voltron. Eat shit, Cyberverse! Quote:
Snout Spout,.. Fisto,.. incredible!

^ Yeah man. I just opened up the MOTUC/DCUC 2 packs that I have, He-Man/Superman and Skeletor/Luthor, and I am in love. I've had them for a while, along with Hordak, and never opened them. After seeing all the cool stuff coming out for MOTU I got excited and couldn't resist.
Wow. I knew they were awesome, but I appreciate them so much more now that I actually have them in hand. The sculpt, articulation, paint apps... everything is handled so perfectly. And I love how bulky they are. Easily one of the best, possibly THE BEST, toy lines available right now. I'm kicking myself for not getting into it sooner, because now my OCD is gonna make me play catch up. |

What's up fellow arkers! I have to say that I'm pretty happy about all the news from SDCC this year. Some great single carded figures as-well as some really great 2 packs. The Daredevil and Bullseye pack looks amazing and are long overdue. Great sculpts of these two guys and a much needed makeover from the original two. The 2 pack dud in my opinion is the Sinister and Gambit pack. Sinister looks good but is a little big and the Gambit was a huge let down. People ether love or hate Gambit but I believe their is no doubt that he deserves a solid figure and this pack falls way short of delivering in that. When I first saw the pics I was so existed. But was so let down when close-ups reveled that he was in fact a redo of the XMO sculpt. Lets all hope that in time this to will be fixed. another concern of mine is that the FF Spidey coming soon is a repaint of the dark reign Venom Spidey and would be way to big. I'm not sure that this is the case, but it looks like a strong possibility. But on a more positive note these are the only complaints that I can think of off the top of my head meaning with all the new figs shown most are looking really good and are real crowed pleasers. A list of awesomeness that my wallet is panicking over.
Single carded awesomeness. Nova, WOW! Number one most wanted by myself and many others! I'm glad Hasbro waited! better quality in sculpts and paint as a result of doing so. Beast, WOW! Want a Jim Lee version, but this guy is just as important. Hulk, Shit my paints WOW! Scarlet Witch, WOW! Kang, WOW! Punisher! WOW! Finally they got it right! Age of Thunder Thor, new head sculpt. WOW! Now I don't have to drop a $30.00 or more on last years exclusive version. Love this version and the sculpt is great! Beta Ray Bill, WOW! Looks great and a big crowed pleaser! Angel, WOW! looking really good and along time overdue. Jubilee, WOW! She's looking really good and has always been overlooked in the action figure ails. Astonishing Wolverine, Wow! I'm hoping this isn't a XMO repaint but he seems to look good and is much needed. Psylocke, WOW! Looks great! Long overdue. Kraven, WOW! He looks freaking awesome! Patriot, WOW! great sculpt! Could be the newer version, but still very happy! Single carded OK's She Hulk, Not a big fan of She Hulk But the sculpt looks good and I know so many of you are big fans, so I'm happy that you're happy. Ultimate Spider Man, Another repaint and I don't get why they didn't give him more articulation and the only change seems to be that they changed from wrist swivel to mid arm swivel that looks terrible...? I don't mind that they put out lots of the signature characters. I know this is in part Marvels bread and butter and helps to keep this line afloat, but improvements should always accompany this practice. huge fail on this figure! Magneto, huge fail. I'm glad we get this version and I think in terms of scale he fits in better with the rest of the MU figs, but this was a sloppy way for Hasbro to go about it and just ads insult to injury considering the disappointment surrounding the first Magneto release. Lets hope that this to will be fixed. Come on awesome new classic Magneto release! Shadowland DD. Why they didn't use the Jim lee Cyclopes sculpt like the new two pack DD does? I'll pass on this guy for this reason alone. Absorbing Man. I really just don't like the sculpt. Looks better than the original two pack version but still just not all that interested. Iron Man, unmasked. I'm happy to get this guy but I think that most of us were hoping for a black and blue neon under armor version or a civilian suited version. This new head sculpt on the same figure crap is a gimmick and getting old. More on that later. Storm and Iceman, Both of these figs look good and I'll get them both but they suffer from the same problems. Repaints of molds that just don't cut it. Two Pack WOWs! Thanos and Adam Warlock, WOW! Big crowed pleaser! Daredevil and Bullseye, WOW! Long overdue. Thank you thank you Hasbro! Two pack Ok's. Sinister and Gambit. Sinister looks really good, but like I said he's way to big, and other than a nice lookig new head sculpt Gambit sucks ass! Why they couldn't have blended the Jim Lee Cyclops mold with the new head and made a new lower leg sculpt with the new ball jointed ankles. I'm so sad about this. Ant Man and Moon knight. Love the Ant Man but that Moon Knight sucks. This was a great chance for hasbro to improve on the old sculpt. Colossus and Juggernaut. Getting sick of seeing the same Colossus, and this new head sculpt crap is just a way of milking fanboys for their money. Figs with helmets and masks should be packed with ether removable helmets or unmasked heads. I get sick of hearing excuses in this subject. It's not that hard to do and when you're talking about mainstream figs that get multiple releases a year, there's no reason this couldn't be done in a cost effective way. Areas of improvement. Something to think about, some of this I have already touched on. More accessory. More diversity in weapons would be nice. multiple head and hand sculpts were applicable. Vehicles. Why does Captain America, Iron man and Spider man get Vehicles but not Marvel universe. There are so many Joe vehicles that could be modified or repainted and BAM, demand filled. For instance I'm not sure the name but there's humvee in the joe line that could easily be packed with a few decals and you got an awesome Punisher humvee. Play-sets. I'm not sure why this hasn't or can't be done but I know there are so many of us that want it to happen. Please consider doing this! In closing I just want to say that this line is by far the most impressive, enjoyable and fun Marvel toy line ever to hit the toy ails. From the fun 4" size to the giant battle sets and the huge 19" Galactus and Sentinel, this line has done a great job of capturing our imagination and bringing this diverse and loved universe to life. I think Hasbro and marvel for their continued efforts to improve molds, paint and articulation over the years! Thank you from the bottom of my geeky heart! Can't wait to see what comes next! |
