I did the Roger's version when the figures first came out and gave him MLS Cap hands and feet as well as a head from TriGateCreations.

The Bucky Cap has the abdomen and crotch of a Cap figure with the chest of Bucky (as well as legs, arms and head).

Protocide is a straight repaint, aslo done back when the figures first came out.

That is true, but in story he is more of a 'dark soldier' and that is why he has no blue, but instead red, white and black.

Now to add a little X to the mix...

Here are my Scott and Jean Summers, along with Anna Marie and Kitty.

Scott is MU figure with the blue darkened and a TriGateCreations head. Jean is a simple head swap (MU Jean on a MS Marvel body) and paint. Same for Rogue (Agent Helix head on MU Jean body). Kitty is a TriGateCreation Body with Barroness arms & legs and a Supergirl head from DCUIH.

Hope that you like.

Ok, I am an honest person and an artist. When I create a piece I look for honest and most constructive response, not just a "good job" and a "pat on the back".

Overall they are pretty average. I really do admire the effort, since I have a box full of seperated figure parts just waiting to become figures once again.

I think that you could work on your painting skills along with piece selections for certain figures like Vision and Captain America (Bucky). I think you have a TON of great customs started. My suggestion is to go back and repaint and sharpen the lines and work on paint application techniques, they are a bit rough. (Also, if available use a better camera to show your work off, we really want to see 'em.)

Good work and continue to wow us.

Thank you for the input and advise. I hope to continue to grow and learn. I was advised to use a piece of plastic to help 'sharpen' my lines. Do you think that may help? I have a shakey hand, so I have tried to be slow to keep down the smears and such that go with that. As for the part selection... i normally try to use what I have and see if it will work, or throw it aside for awhile.

Thanks again for all the comments. I hope to continue to grow and improve.

i agree completely. parts selection is also a matter of opinion and personal preference. some good counsel from johnnyakiba however without knowing where a person is in their growth as an artist a blanket statement such as,"work on your painting skills." is a bit of a cavalier response because...he IS working on his skills. just my two cents.

Thanks Brian and Chris.

I do appreciate honest comments that will help me know. You both have been sounding boards for my growth (along with others). As far as parts selections go. I know that having a larger selection allows for a better base in the customs being made. That being said, I use what I have and try to find a way to use it that is identifiable as the custom character and yet my own take on that character. I do need to work on my painting... and have started to use devices and tricks to help with that. I hope to continue to grow and improve.

Thank you to everyone for the comments. I hope to have a few more up this weekend, as I am working on some of the Crew as well as the DotD and the Bronze Tigers.

First up for today is Smilidon - one of my own created characters... think what would happen if Graydon Creed (Sabertooth's son) had his own mutant child? You might get a more feral and viscious mutant... Smilidon (its a pre-historic large cat along the lines of Sabertooth Tigers).

Next is my tweaks to Venom from the new Spider-Man line.

I cracked the lower torso and inserted the T-bar from the MLS Venom to give him articulated legs.

the new legs (MLS) are more veiny... so that is something I need to look into possibly changing.

just like madonna's arms

i got an idea for your smilidon. get a brown gundam detail pen. it would be great for adding a little detail around the teeth and gum areas. they are easy to use, very forgiving and the lines can be cleaned up/removed with a pink pearl or white eraser

I have not tried this, it actually sounds like a good idea. I may try it next time I need to paint....hmmm.

HEY, I would rather have people give me things to work on instead of "sugar coating" them...right?

Definitely, how else can you improve if you don't know what to improve. =D
