Soooo I Walked into Wal-Mart this morning and the lady was stocking toys. I spotted a box that said "MARVEL UNIVERSE TEAM PACKS" sealed and underneath other boxes on the cart. I didn't even imagine it being the 3-packs at retail.. I had 2-packs in my head for some reason.
So I asked her if I could know what was in the box any way and she sighed and looked at it.. then snappily replied, "super heroes." I very politely asked if I could by any chance see which ones were inside. She dropped the box she had in her hands and kinda tossed the one on top of the MU one on the floor and pulled out her knife to cut it open. So I timed it just right and waited until she went to cut it open and said, "If you weren't going to open that today I'd be more than happy to come back." I knew full well she was going to open it at that point and also that they were definitely stocking it this morning, so that tiny bit of politeness changed her mood a good amount. "No, no, it's fine, I'd have to get to it any way." I seen the 3-packs and got excited that there could be the rare chance of a FF variant, but of course not. I already have all 3 of the packs, but the lady had lightened her mood from my statement so I picked up the X-Force pack for a friend and told her she was awesome. That's all it took. She laughed and said, "I try I guess." I told her to have a good day and went to pay. She did not fulfill her customer service obligations up front by any means no, but she works at wal-mart at 7 AM.. so instead of arguing with her, I went with the high road option. So in the end, she now may be more likely to help people who ask for things "in the back" or "in the box they see" and that's a win for all of us! |

Good job man. Knowing myself I would have went the low road lol. Prolly Mainly bc I use to be a stock person at Wal-Mart back in HS and I know you are still suppose to help the customer. If it's on the floor. On the shelf or not. It's for sale. Wanna pick me up a X-Force pack?

It goes to show that kindness and understanding go a very long way. By understanding their point of view, where they have to work at Walmart, and how early it was, you were nice to this person and probably brightened up her day a little. Nicely done!

I think she was super frendly- remember...she had a knife.
As she disembowls you she cackles "Is some superhero gonna save you now?!?" Huh, bitch?!? The last thing you see is in this life is her wrappng your intestines around the Marvel Universe pegs...and the FF variant pack on the floor, coated in your blood, just out of reach. Think of this the next time you see one of those Wally World wage slaves. |

A Marvel 3-pack to a WalMart employee is about as significant as a Hanes 3-pack of underwear. Seriously. Just because we are on the hunt, certainly doesn't mean these folks give a crap. And can you blame them at $7.25/hr?

Remember to bring a Target print AD with you guys just in case. They do honor the sale price of single carded figures

Target and other retail stores arent much better. Not to say that every Walmart employee is terrible but from my own eyes and perspective, 90+ percent are.

At least you people can buy MU stuff from your walmart. I've got a very small row of Cap Movie, Thor Movie, and some spiderman stuff. No exclusives at all, no multipacks, no actual "Marvel Universe" figures.
I wish I could have some pegwarmers MU pegwarmers. |

I have yet to find/buy any of the new FF pack, X-Force set or Avengers set, I'm wondering the Warpath figure that comes with the X-Force set, is he any different then the single carded version that was released other then missing the stand? Because if there's no noticble difference then I'm definatley getting myself 1, as the single carded version isn't cheap 20-50 range.
