I don't really collect Predator stuff, other than the ReAction and NECA Video Game Series version. but the colors on this one are great, so I may bite on it if the packaging is unique and not just a standard Pred card.

I've got all 4 volumes of the Predator Omnibus books and there are some awesome stories in them. Maybe if the new movie knocks it out of the park they'll adapt some of them. I wanna see Dutch's brother in a movie.

I will probably pass on this one. I've only got 7 Predators but I'm trying to cut back on how many I plan to get since my shelves are filling out. I hope this does well enough to encourage NECA to make Broken Tusk from the original AVP, he's the one comic predator I'd definitely go for. This one looks great and I'll be sad if his staff never sees reuse, but he's not enough for me to really want.
I imagine this will just use the same card back packaging as every other predator figure, even Bad Blood (who was a deluxe) only added the foiling to the logo. NES Predator had a box and Genesis Predator 2 will have one, but those are also part of the classic game figures line.

As for this one i'm gonna end up jumping on it. i got a thing for comic related figures.only thing in the comic cover his armor is greyish silver, in the pics it looks blue. either way he'd look great next to bad blood. |

You mean Cracked tusk from the kenner line? they already on their way with a new one, but you can't take his helmet off... sucks i think.

No, but I do think the Kenner figure of old may have been drawn from Broken Tusk's design. In the very original AVP comics from Darkhorse the main Predator was called Broken Tusk because one of his mandibles was broken, the other Predators called him "dachande" and he was their hunting party's leader. He was neat looking though, besides the obvious broken mandible, his chest armor was the front of a xenomorph's head (another concept Kenner used for their toys) and he used a neat spear too. One time I asked NECA on Twitter of they'd ever get around to making him and they said anything was possible.

i had that comic too got rid of it last year..... stupid of me, i don't recall a broken tusk. if you get a chance, look at the cracked tusk kenner figure. his lower tusk was broken. if you can't find the pic i'd be more then happy to show you my original kenner one i have at my house.
Broken Tusk's bottom left mandible was snapped off from when he fought a xenomorph up close, thus Noguchi gives him his nickname. Kenner's Cracked Tusk can be viewed as a reference to Broken Tusk as they share the same battle wound. Here he is in full armor, I just think this guy would be an excellent choice to be made into a figure.

That was such a fun story, that and the sequel. I remember another character was called 'Topknot.'
I wonder if NECA would ever consider a 6" armored Machiko, with accessories. I'd buy that for a dollar. |

It's a given that the original toy called "cracked tusk" has a cracked tusk visible, it's even visible when the mask is on. Obviously the NECA version of Cracked Tusk won't have a visible cracked tusk because he's wearing his mask, which is odd given this hides his defining trait.

if they did make one, they should make him with a removable helmet of course ! i'd probably jump on one of those also if they made him. since i just got into the Predators the end of 2014, i must say the are just mad cool. i can't understand why they don't make all of them with removeable masks.

If your Toys R Us carries NECA regularly then they should get this in too, my local TRU doesn't always carry every line from NECA but they do always get the special boxed figures in so that should help with this figure.

Looks like a pretty cool figure. I'm mostly happy with the two figures I have, but I might get this. There's also another version of Dutch I've been thinking about tracking down, so I might be doubling my Predator collection.
