It's not April 1.
Chronicle must be banking on the idea that there are people out there who will buy it ''because Star Wars.' |

Would be cool if it had the lightsaber blades and they would light up and make the sounds. At least could of added that for the cost of the damn thing.

I believe this is more of a replica of the screen used prop, as opposed to something akin to the Hasbro lightsabers. I would fully expect Hasbro to have a light up blade version at some point.

As a fan of the sequel trilogy, of Rey, and of this excellent looking hilt in general, I have to say that this is a HARD PASS. $1600? Seriously? That is absurd. If I pay that much for a lightsaber, it needs all of the bells and whistles. All of them.

You know I wish Master Replica's would go back to making the lightsabers. The ones they released were pretty damn good but I guess some of the Hasbro ones have been somewhat decent. I actually saw the Black Series Kylo Ren lightsaber from TFA at Ross for 79.99. They had three of them. Went back the next day and they were gone.
