Thanks guys, I'm no skilled artist. Some of you guys could pull this off easily and make it look spot on, I think the MU Hyperion makes for a great batman buck. This was just me screwing around at 2 am. That's why the bat symbol looks like Hellen Keller painted it.I still need to make a cape.

I literally just carved the cowl out of hyperions Conan O' Brian hair and sanded it all smooth. I never really liked the Hyperion figure, but once you sand down the copper girdle and cut the nipples off of the leg pegs that make the huge gap at the boot line it's a pretty solid figure. Plus if you local stores are like mine you could get a Hyperion army easily.

I'm guessing the TV one they showed in Multiverse. We'd a' had it if they'd not stiffed us.

I know it's dumb because they're just toys but the fact that they upscaled all the new Multiverse figures to 6 inches that already don't seem to be selling that well around here really pisses me off.

They seem to have copied the Legends formula:

I'd kill for 3.75 Multiverse BvS and Suicide Squad figures. Not to mention the new TV series figures that I was waiting and waiting for. |

What I loved about Multiverse was it actually gave us a decent Batman and Superman like the Keaton and Reeves figures, that isn't cartoony. But what sold me on the line was the sheer amount of villians to choose from (mostly Batman foes) but nonetheless, it was a thriving line in my book.
They sold out and went hail-Mary with the 6" scale to compete with Legends and truly went to task to overstock every chain possible with thier (4" articulated) 6" figures. Edit: I honestly think the BvS movie will actually bomb and they'll be pegwarming. Last edited by Universe; 02-15-2016 at 10:49 PM.. |

Multiverse was such a wasted line. Not counting the Batman and Superman movie figures, the whole line was just from the Arkham games. They could've done figures from Young Justice, Justice League/Unlimited, and so much more, but NOPE. The line was a whole bunch of Arkham. But of course, once they switched to 6 inch, they added variety. Not planned at all, I'm sure.

They aren't competing with Legends at this point, they are competing with themselves. I mean the first figures they released when the switched the multiverse scale were the Flash and Arrow. Two figures that had already been released by DCC in that scale. I;m saving to buy a house so ....I guess thank you to everyone who has a DC license |

Thats the thing though, it doesnt make any sense. they aready had figures in or near that scale. There are four BVS movie lines in either 6 or 7 inch size.

Mattel's figures reach a much wider audience due to where they're distributed. DCC's figures are also not really the same scale. |

I'm more of a Marvel fan anyway, but the 4" Multiverse (really hate having to preface a toyline by the inches now because of the trend of making everything one name) really drew me in because of the added articulation compared to all the Happy meal toys Mattel produces otherwise. They had a golden line that filled the gap with Marvel Universe/Infinite/4"Legends because of thier focus on 6" figs. I actually hunted them down like I do with my Marvel 4" to expand my toy universe. Ah well, what can I expect from Mattel, the toy company for kids. I know they were modeled after the cartoons, but all those DC figs before Multiverse were a joke. All big torso with beanpole legs. Years of this...now they took away the scale altogether.
They're going out of business/merging right? |

What gets me is at least where I am, the original Multiverse line sold well. Better than anything else in that scale as far as I saw. The only pegwarmer ever was Zod. Sadly the Zods did stack up and never seemed to go on clearance, but I digress.
