Out of all of the BTAS characters to do, they choose to do Roxy? Why? She was one of the worst original creations of the series. They should have done Calendar Girl instead if they wanted to do a one shot.

I still can't remember her, but Roxy does look great. Also, if there is any chance of DCC doing any other vehicles or deluxe figures, Roxy will probably have to sell pretty well.
The GCPD badge is going to be a must-have. Sounds like it's going to be a rather high-quality prop replica. I hope this new Designer series isn't taking the place of the Greg one.

Agreed. I always liked Roxy, and this action figure is a must-have. I'd get it even if it didn't include the rocket.

I honestly don't know anything about these, but I like the look of that rocket. Space age looking rockets like that always get to me for some reason

I have 0.0 problems with Roxy Rocket. I think that she's one of those one-offs that was amazing in TAS, and is boring in the comics. Plus, since she's had parts in both Superman TAS and Batman Animated, she can fit in with both.
What I don't get is the Jae Lee pieces. I just really can't stand his artwork, and I think it translates poorly into figure form. But everyone has their preferences, and again, pleasing the completionists. |

That Batgirl statue is very cool!
The New Adventures and BTAS line has had an odd character selection so far IMO. The Creeper, Roxy, Killer Croc design, and 2 Robins?! Just to name a few. I just wonder how long we'll have to wait for; Bane, BTAS Scarecrow, BTAS freeze, Bruce Wayne, Ect. I also wonder if we'll ever see any Animated Series movie figures like;Red Hood, Phantasm, Superman, or Nightwing. Finally, why wait until series 5 to put out Batman form the BTAS? |

Other than Scarecrow, I'm personally pretty happy with the selection they've put out. It is surprising that Nightwing hasn't been announced yet, though. |

Oh boy. If they do give us Bane, I really hope it's the Luchadore version and not the Gimp mask with the stupid spiked dog collar. I completely forgot about the NBA design until this moment.

Bane has probably had the one of the worst records for portrayals out of the comics. He's almost always thrown in as the big dumb brute, and even a lot of things that still claim he's very intelligent never really show it in any way.

I think the TAS Bane was one of his weakest designs. It's obvious in the comics he's inspired by luchador wrestlers, but in the show he literally just looked like one. Gimp Bane in TNA may have only showed up in a dream sequence but at least he actually kicked Batman's ass, he also had a much better sounding voice. I know both versions were voiced by Henry Silva, but in the later series he cut back on the accent which was too cheesy when combined with the look. The spiked collar was stupid, but the rest of his getup was better even if only because it was a solid color.

Arkham Origins was the first time in a long time that I felt like Bane was shown proper respect outside of the comics. It's a shame that they had to end it by wiping his mind to explain why he is the big stupid brute in Arkham Asylum (written by Dini), but everything else was a blast. |

I believe Bruce Timm and Paul Dini both admitted to not liking Bane as a character, and it definitely shows. NBA/TNA Bane also appeared in the Mystery of the Batwoman movie too, as I recall. I just hate that design so much. I don't mind him looking like a full-on luchador.

It's a shame that they had to end it by wiping his mind to explain why he is the big stupid brute in Arkham Asylum (written by Dini), but everything else was a blast. If the legs on his TAS design were the same dark blue as the rest of his costume then I'd like it a lot more. Origins Bane is the closest to the comics we've ever gotten, and it's safe to say Batman and Robin was easily his worst portrayal. I excuse his behavior in Arkham Asylum because he had been drained of blood to filter for venom and then given a full dose of a newer formula very quickly. It gave him a roid rage which greatly inhibited his cognitive capacity. I even think the character design is okay as a sort of exaggerated version, very plainly showing his venom usage. Also various things claimed Bane was still a genius-level intellect in Arkham Asylum, we just only ever see him when he's been juiced up.

I wouldn't mind if they did Roxy, but they haven't done Bane, Clayface, Rupert Thorn, Mad Hatter, Firefly, etc. Do the big name villains before doing the nobodies.

Yup. Which is actually the second Earth 2 Wonder Woman that they've made now.
That's a little irritating, considering the minimally-articulated New 52 body they've used for the standard WW three times now, once with a different head sculpt. She's due for another attempt with a new body. I'd settle for a God of War version if they don't wanna do the standard one again. |
