I really hope they get the QC issues with these straightened out. It's amazing how many of the series 1 Batmans have had ankles that disintegrated upon removal from he package.

Batman looks great, but after hearing about the issues people are having with the wave one figures, I think I will pass.

I had little interest in a figure of the TNBA version of Batman, so (selfishly, I admit) I'm glad that that version was released first, as a guinea pig for DC Collectibles to try out this new animated aesthetic.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will learn from their mistakes and improve on the quality and durability of this line before the BAS version of Batman is released. He looks great, but nothing turns me off to a figure worse than the threat of having to perform major repairs immediately after it has been opened. I can vouch for the poor quality of some recent DCC figures. All my Cappulo figures have loose joints, my Red Hood figure had two right legs, and my Owl Man and New Adventures Batman both had feet break off out of the package. I will probably still pick up Batman and Batgirl, but I'm going to cut back significantly on the DCC figures I buy. Wish the Batman had blue highlights painted on the cape, cowl, gloves and boots like the Batgirl figure has on her cowl.

I've drastically cut back on my DC purchases, and I currently only have maybe 3 DCC figures, but of those, one of them (Suicide Squad Harley Quinn) came with a broken elbow. I rarely ever had this sort of problem with my DC Direct figures. I have roughly 80 DC Direct figures that I've picked up over the past decade, and I previously had many many more before up until a year or so ago when I decided to sell or trade the unnecessary ones in my collection (still WAAAAY too many for such a casual DC fan, lol). But anyways, frankly, I can think of only four that had issues with breakage. Also, of those four figures, three of them broke roughly seven or eight years after I purchased them, so the breakage was a little easier to accept. What the heck is going on with DCC ?!? DC Direct figures were notoriously fragile, because of their clear plastic, but at least their breakage (in my experience) was a gradual, long-term issue. I was going to buy New Adventures Batman, but between the QC and the reveal of the new figures, I think I'll get the original animated series look instead.

maybe i've been lucky, but i've never had a DC figure break on me.
i've had a couple neca figures break, but no DC figures. with this line, if you're handling them carefully, you shouldn't have a problem.. gently test out the joints.. if anything feels a little tight, just add some heat.. i'm not saying this is how everyone's figures break, but i know with the two neca figures that i broke it was from trying to move a joint too forcefully. i hope this line does well because they look perfect. |

Yep. If they do this right, they could have 15 years of releases just like the original run of shows

Yeah, this is gonna be a rare MOC collection for me. Odds are it was gonna have to be anyway, I have more wall space than shelf space these days... but still. I'm fairly handy at fixing toys, but I shouldn't have to. |

I would really like to see more of the original styles instead of the simplified versions. Batgirl looks great, but I'd rather have the blue and grey one from her original appearance. Sad to see Killer Croc is the lazy version, hope most of these have 2nd versions like Batman.
