With them being so short compared to MU, I think I'm not as interested. If I see this pack in person at a Con I will likely buy, but I won't be ordering online.
Props to the DCC team for getting a decent amount of artic into that size. |

There is two sides to this coin. On one side DCC could take some of these comments as insults because our opinions are based on our thoughts on a current "Marvel" line.
On the other side, this could be an opportunity for DCC to look at these comments and make a serious profit by working in conjunction with what other companies offer. I love having a more uniform looking collection, and quite frankly Mattel's Infinite Heroes tanked. If they fashoined those after MUs both in size and Articulation styles they would still be in stores. Lets face it, Mattel's products were subpar until they starting making DCUC which were more on par with Marvel Legends figures. The same needs to happen here. I am not saying make an exact copy, but if a company tries to make a product too different because the brand making them wants to feel exclusive from other brands that can have a negative result. That has gone against some companies in the past (I am looking at you Mattel) The Articulation is good, the details and paint look sharp, but I do have a fear of Superman being shorter than Captian America if they should make a Superman. This is why 3 3/4" are so popular is because a lot of collectors like the idea of crossing universes in their collection. Lord knows the only thing keeping from selling my MLs and DCUCs is that there aren't any matching 3 3/4" figures from both universes. One thing that does seem promising is that different bucks could be used so who is not to say that future releases couldn't be taller to match the MU style. I would still buy these regardless since I love all kinds of 3 3/4" articulated figures, but the height comparison to MUs would be a major plus. One thing I can say for sure is... if these were the style for the Green Lantern movie figures... well, let's just say that I wouldn't be able to get them at my local Five Below for $2 each because they would have sold at initial retail release. |

I really don't get why everyone cares if they match up with Marvel Universe in size. My Marvel and DC just don't mix. Not in comics, video games, collectables, etc. I would care more about Joes cause they can be used as generic soldiers in a dio. As long as these guys are in good scale with each other I will be plenty happy.

WTF!!!
I get my Rayner and Kilowog, and I'm posting Rayner, and his fucking arm breaks!!! I can either superglue it, and make him have Female MU articulation or get another. Bullshit! they need to use softer plastic on these

Crap this is the 2nd time I hear of an arm breaking. The other was a Kilowog. According to previous reports, DCC still hasn't learned to correct the fragile joints.

Yeah the right shoulder broke on my Rayner. Looks like these are a total waste the ONLY ones that will be worth getting is the really alien ones like Larfleeze, Isamot, Atrocitus, Hannu, Tomar, St Walker (maybe if you don't want to customize your own w/ the head sculpt Mr Pruitt did), and Bleeze (maybe. I'm working on some bone wings right now).
This is them compared to my Kilowog, and Hal (keep in mind my Kilowog is a Juggy body, and Hal is a Comm Rogers body): Here are a few lanterns I have in the works: Left to right you have Jack Moore, & Razor of the Red Lanterns, Sinestro, & Saint Walker Last edited by RodimusVTS; 07-20-2012 at 11:05 PM.. |

25$ for 2 is perfect.
I wish they were a shade taller, but some of that can be written off for more ordinary person height variances to a degree. The playset I want. As for who else I'd want? Well, they got all the GL bases covered I wanted already from SDCC. Just need a few of the other corps to round that out. Otherwise I want DCnU all like this. Superman with Supergirl. Red Robin and Wondergirl. Superboy and Kid Flash. Batman and Robin. Nightwing and Starfire. Red Hood and Red Arrow. Wonder woman and Aquaman. Sinestro and Cyborg Superman. Then a classic pack with Spoiler and Original Azrael. Maybe a classic Bane and Azbats pack too. I'd also be all over a Doomsday and Waverider pack. (Superman:Hunter/prey) Bonus if they do Grunge and Fairchild with a freefalll and rainmaker followup back. Last edited by Snowflakian; 07-21-2012 at 10:55 AM.. |

If they do the rest of the red lanterns (must have Bleez) especially the most recent member *ahem* Rancor, then I'll be all over this line

Why are people complaining about these figures not being in scale with MU, when some MU figures don't fit in scale with MU figures?

As for why I hate how small they made Kyle it's because he isn't even really tall enough to be 15 yrs old. I know Kyle's young, but he isn't 10. Last edited by RodimusVTS; 07-21-2012 at 01:06 PM.. |

You mean Jack Moore? I hate that they call him Rancor. When I think of Rancor I think of the beasts from Star Wars, and the Rancor keepers. If you want to customize your own check out my previous post, and my site. I even have the small animal Lanterns including Dexstarr.

I mix DC, Marvel, Joe, Microman, WWE BNB, Star wars, anything 1:18 to 4 inch. I can't put that GL fig next to any of these figures except Star Wars. It would look ridiculous having Spiderman be taller than GL. So it is a big deal to me. I was afraid of this when they first showed them. All of the aliens look good but if the normal human characters are going to be 3.75 it's just not going to work/fit in with most peoples modern era collections. I'd look into giving him some height in the legs maybe. Quote:
Thanks for all the pics. I've been waiting to see how they stand up.

Especially since he's English and that term is most widely known to be associated as slang from there.

I would buy them as long as they match the hight of my Marvel Universe. The SDCC 2012 2pk where great but short.
DC needs to make sure that they make them compatible to Marvel Universe. It's about the fan and not the competition. And as a fan I want to be able to mix them. Also, scale is important to me as a collector. Last edited by bernit; 07-24-2012 at 11:10 AM.. |
