Jay C has a review up of the Darkseid and Grail set, he's pretty positive about it.

I've canceled my preorder for Darkseid. :-(
The lack of a bicep swivel really hurt it for me and I'm reading about people having quality control issues with him.

So I'm a little upset right now. I went to change a bit of my Icons display and found the string on Green Arrow's bow to be gone. And I mean gone, like POOF. There are pieces of the string on both ends of the bow as if it broke off, but I can't find the string at all in my case. WTF?

I saw the darkseid set at my lcs today, and i was a bit bewildered. I thought the Icons line, design wise, to be the definitive classic style costumes. But darkseid was looking like his modern interpretation which sticks out badly with the rest of the line.

I'm surprised you think that, as they've released a plethora of figures whose costumes definitely are not based on their "definitive classic" looks, like New 52 Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan Green Lantern and Cyborg, John Stewart Green Lantern from the "Green Lantern: Mosaic" storyline, "Death In The Family" Joker, 90's Catwoman, etc. Icons figures are based on a character's look from a specific storyline, labeled on the box.

Yeah, Icons is definitely not focusing on just one design. It's based on whatever comic they choose to adapt. I was so excited to get Darkseid until I saw Jay C's review of it and some other people's comments on it after getting it in hand. I'll wait for it to be on sale for like $40.

I just got most of the released Icons in a trade with a friend of mine but now that I have them I'm pretty disappointed with most of them. Harley and Killing Joke Joker are the best in the line but the sculpt and or paint on The Flash's head looks horrible to me. And I don't know if the Superman face sculpt is accurate to whatever look they were going for but it doesn't scream superman to me for some reason. Maybe his head is too round or something.

Flash's headsculpt seems to be hit or miss. I got one that was near perfect while others got ones that looked pretty bad.
I really want to get Batgirl, but the money I had for her went to the Sandman wave.

I really cannot decide if I want to buy into this line. I have the Last Rights Batman that I bought months ago but I have not picked up anything else. It seems like there are really mixed reviews on the Icons line.
On another note, if anyone needs Mr Miracle he is on Amazon for $7.50 right now. |

I've got Batman, Superman, John Stewart, Harley Quinn, Atomica, Joker and Lex Luthor and I'm very happy with all of them, for what it's worth. Batgirl is getting excellent reviews as well, I haven't got mine yet.

My only complaint is that he should have some brown in there. However, he is still far superior to that junk Mattel released.

I'd like a good, classic Bane from the icons line. It's been awhile since anybody made one.

Disappointing, if it's genuinely cancelled and not just delayed and resolicited.

I believe Emikd saw the "them all" part of your post and assumed you were referring to all of the DCC figures that were in the most recent photo of Icons Swamp Thing, one of which was the DCTV Zoom figure.
